Dear Tijiana,

Namaskar.

Thankyou

for your compliments, and i hope everything is good and well in Serbia.

Answers to

your questions, point by point.

Yes, it works both ways. This is more

useful when we use dasas such as vimshottari.

Based on planets in the bhavas, we

develope a certain attitude towards that area of life. Among those bhavas,

the kendras and trikonas always have a vital say. The trikonas come under

the domain of the Sun God, and relate to the self or atman, whilst the

kendras come under the domain of the Moon and the mana. Hence among the

kendras, the lagna is that part of the Mana which is our own, or inherited

mana from previous existances, because it is also a trine. The four

remaining are parts of the mana which are influenced due to our childhood

(fourth house), relationships (seventh house) and occupation (tenth house),

i.e. circumstances.

The Sambandha between the lagna/lagnesh

and the planets in the bhavas, will show whether these ‘experiences’

are liked by the person or not. This is why the special warning; worship

of grahas (in the fifth house) which are inimical towards the lagnesh can

destroy the children. Similarly this is the case for other bhavas also. This

only relates to graha worship.

So this means the lagna is dominating

over the guiding principles, and can influence the experience of other

bhavas, as you said. However even more important than the lagna is the

tenth house, who is the most strongest house in the horoscope, as it is

Indra and rules the Indriyas or senses... this is considered the throne

in the horoscope. Planets in the tenth house can have a serious impact on

the affairs of all other houses, example: If Rahu is placed in the tenth

house, the bhava occupied by the Sun will be eclipsed, as Rahu eclipses

the Sun. Similarly Ketu is said to cause the eclipse of the Moon –

this is based on the vara chakra.

As for the example you gave, this is a

classic example of Kapata Yoga, where a person having good nature,

character and ideals (lagna) is subject to cheating by others (malefics

in the fourth). So here the benefic in the lagna did not remove the

experience.

I hope this

answers your question.

Best

wishes,

sohamsa

Jyotisha

fundamentals

Om Namah Shivaya

Greetings from Serbia to everyone on Sohamsa list!

A special one to Mr. Visti Larsen and my

compliments for the book!

I`ve got a chance to read it only now and I`m sory

I`ve missed a

chance to share my impressions with You while

You were here. Basics

are something that we are coming to on and on and

realizing that many

things are not so simply and clear as they seem.

I have two questions for Vistiji.

1. On the page 157 You wrote: " If the lagna

has krura grahas, the

native will become krura afer the age of maturity

of that graha in

lagna " . My question is - does the same stand

for saumya grahas?

2.The same page- " A person`s nature may

change (...) depending on the

planets occupying the kendras. " I have some

doubts about this for a

long time and hope that You`ll have time and

patience to direct my

thoughts.

The way I see kendras 1,4,7,10 - material

existance, state of mind(

that we tend to qualify by quantity of

happiness),interaction with

others and karma; the last being the strongest and

that is confirmed

with the fact that everything we do is karma and

our future (life) is

based on it. Theese are ever PRESENT influances of

the material

existance=we can not avoid strong infl. of the

grahas in kendras. But

I don`t think that grahas in 4,7,10 will change

the nature. Here I see

as a crucial to see what the word used by Maharisi

Parasara EXACTLY

means.

A simple example I have in mind for considering

the nature of a

person. Let`s say a person has Guru in lagna and

krura grahas in 4.

and 7. (I`m not taking Sarpa yoga into account

now). This person tends

to OVERCOME krura infl. due to dhi shakti he has

and it is inherent to

his nature. Sani in lagna, for example, will give

lack of dhi shakti

and can make a person ignorant about the causes

that stand behind

kendra`s (and other) good/bad infl. Ignorance here

makes a man krura,

he will tend to punish, blame...the world (for the

fruits of his own

past actions)... The point is-I think that nature

won`t change, it

will respond differently to supporting or inimical

energies in life in

accordance with the krura/saumya nature and

STRENGHT of a lagna?

I hope this long mail of mine won`t be boring for

You.

Sincerely, Tijana D.

Dear Guruji, Pranaam

For such a Kapata Yoga, how do we determine what kind of people the

person will be cheated by? Do we look at the houses lorded by the

malefics, or the chara karakatwa of the malefics?

Thank you,

Samir
