Drigdasa (Ashtottari dasa - Narasimha/Sanjay)

Namaste gentlemen,

 

Why are you even arguing about Sanjay's Pisces Drigdasa???

 

He IS running Pisces digdasa irrespective of whether Sanjay's old

method is used or Parasara's method is used. Just the start date is

different. With Sanjay's old method, Pisces dasa started it 2003.

With Parasara's method, it started in 2004. Sanjay can decide for

himself whether big positive changes in spiritual sadhana came after

Aug 2003 or after Aug 2004.

 

Also, the dasa BEFORE it is under some question. With Sanjay's old

method, it was Ge's drigdasa that ran during 2001-2003. With

Parasara's method, it was Sg drigdasa that ran during 2001-2004. I

leave it to you to decide whether Sanjay was running Sg dasa or Ge

dasa during the time he was trying to spread Jyotish and started his

karma related to Jyotish seriously.

 

Also, I must respectfully point out that the principles of judgment

are not written in stone. We are constantly trying to rediscover

them too. There are insights coming from tradition and classics and

I am sure Robert's book will be a landmark.

 

We should constantly try to evolve our understanding. With time, our

understanding of the calculations as well as judgment will evolve

with the blessings of maharshis. But each intermediate step is

invaluable. A baby never learns walking or running straight away.

There are many baby steps to take. A baby afraid of taking baby

steps and falling will never learn walking, let alone running.

 

There are various areas of Jyotish where we are still trying to take

baby steps.

 

Robert, I was telling Sanjay just last night that it might be too

late to incorporate Parasara's teaching in your book. That's what my

intuition told me. Don't worry about it. HE has a plan and there is

a reason for everything. There is a right time, right place and

right circumstances for everything and HE is in charge. Sometimes we

don't understand His plan immediately, but we eventually do.

 

BTW, this is not my " research " . It is simply an unambiguous teaching

of Parasara that I discovered recently (I wish I did earlier). I am

glad you are interested still. I'll try to write about it tonight

when I go home.

Namaste Narasimha,

 

First, I want to thank you for your comments in support of my book

and the timing of its release. Yes, Jagannatha shall call forth my

work when He wants it, as well as all that He wants from us. It is

indeed too late to incorporate the Parasara teachings you have found

in my current book, but I would definitely like to work on this as a

future project for research, all of that, of course, given that

Jagannatha and His representative Sanjay would like me to do it.

 

In response to the following you wrote, I would like to add some things:

I see your logic w.r.t. to Sg being the dasa, with exalted Ketu

placed there in the 10th house. However, I would like to suggest

that Gemini has 12th lord Rahu in it, as mentioned yesterday, and it

was during this period (to my better recollection) that Sanjay

started teaching more widely in the western countries. 10th lord

(from lagna) Jupiter then becomes 10th lord from the dasa rasi which

is equal to A10. Further, the Bhoga rasi for Ge dasa would become

Libra, the 8th house (Jyotish and occult), a vantage point from which

the Saturn/Venus connection in Sanjay's chart become strong Raja-yoga

karakas for the classroom setting and teaching. Saturn again rules

the western countries, and occupies the 4th (from Bhoga rasi). It

was in 2002 that Sanjay first came out to the west coast USA and

began his teaching there. This is when you and I both met

face-to-face for the first time and presented lectures together!

 

So, while I don't dispute that it could have been Sagittarius Drig

dasa also, Gemini dasa holds a lot of promise so far as what actually

happened. We also remember the problems with a certain disgruntled

sisya during this period and the troubles that ensued for Sanjay and

what used to be SJVC. Note Rahu's probable cause here, with

dispositor Mercury joining A5 in the 6th house. Rahu also is the

dispositor of 5th lord Moon as well.

 

Finally, note the strength of Gemini lagna in D-24, and the whole

history seems to come into the picture strongly.

 

I look forward to hearing your expositions on Parasara's teachings

that you have found!
