Guest guest Posted August 3, 2005 Report Share Posted August 3, 2005 Om Krishna Guru Namaste Hari Ji, Thanks for the note and I also know *primary* karaka for vahana ( all the vehicles) is Venus. For example, when some one say's he/she has purchased a Car, then how do I distinguish between the following:- S.No Vehicle Karaka ? ===================================================== 5 Cars small in Size ( 2 wheel drive ) 6 Cars small in medium Size ( 2 wheel drive ) 7 Cars small in medium Big and long ( 2 wheel drive ) 8 4 Wheel drive / SUV's Regards Raghunatha Rao jyotisa , Jyotisa Shisya <achyutagaddi@g...> wrote: > ||om brihaspataye namah|| > Dear Raghunadha, > That is easy; the *primary* karaka for vahana ( all the vehicles) is Venus. > Perhaps you want to refine your question further? > regards > Hari > > > On 8/3/05, Raghunatha RaoNemani <raon1008> wrote: > > > > Om Krishna Guru > > > > Namaste Gurus and Learned Members, > > > > May I reqeust you to please help me in identify the Primary Karakas for > > the following Transportation vehicles:- > > > > S.No Vehicle Karaka ? 1 Bicycle ( non motor ) 2 Bicycle ( with a > > small or mini motor ) 3 Scooters 4 MotorCycles 5 Cars small in Size ( 2 > > wheel drive ) 6 Cars small in medium Size ( 2 wheel drive ) 7 Cars small > > in medium Big and long ( 2 wheel drive ) 8 4 Wheel drive / SUV's 9 Pickup > > Trucks 10 Trucks for commercial purpose 11 Bus 12 Train 13 Boat 14 Ship > > Passenger 15 Ship Commercial 16 Helicopter 17 Airoplane 18 Defense - > > Helicopter 19 Defense - Airoplane 20 Space Crafts > > > > Regards > > Raghunatha Rao > > > > > > > > > > > > > > *tat savitur varenyam* > > > > > > > > Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted August 3, 2005 Report Share Posted August 3, 2005 ||om brihaspataye namah|| Dear Raghunadha, Yes, if you know there is a *primary* karaka, then it follows that there must be a secondary karaka? and perhaps a tertiary karaka? Forget about the different types of cars, how do we distinguish whether the person bought a bicycle or car? and then again, how do we distinguish between vehicles purchased for individual use or for public transport? Once we resolve these questions, then we can go into each category. best regards Hari On 8/3/05, Raghunatha RaoNemani <raon1008 wrote: Om Krishna GuruNamaste Hari Ji,Thanks for the note and I also know *primary* karaka for vahana ( all the vehicles) is Venus. Guest guest Posted August 4, 2005 Report Share Posted August 4, 2005 Hare Rama Krishna Dear Hari, Namaste Let me try to extend the logic extended by you forward. Otherwise, four wheeler could be one used in the hospital also. For sariraka sukha (at physical), we look at Rasi, while d-16 is at a mental level. So.. i think .. status & place will certainly play a role. Some use bicycle for a healthy living, while for some it is a means of mobility. Recently, i have seen an advt for cycles costing around Rs 2 lacs(!) in India. Certainly add a lot of status (AL). i look for cycles in Rasi itself as it involves physical strain (voluntary or otherwise). Anything working on an engine from D16 (exception is a palanquin). More details depend on the strength of the karaka & the arudha in D 16. Again true satisfaction at mental level could be the 4th from lagna in D 16, while the image associated with the vehicle could be A4. (So bi / tri - cycle can be fitted here as well) We need to think about the sukha argala here. Just my thoughts, provoked by your mail. regards Viswanadham On 8/3/05, Jyotisa Shisya <achyutagaddi wrote: > ||om brihaspataye namah|| > > Dear Raghunadha, > > Yes, if you know there is a *primary* karaka, then it follows that there > must be a secondary karaka? and perhaps a tertiary karaka? > > Forget about the different types of cars, how do we distinguish whether the > person bought a bicycle or car? and then again, how do we distinguish > between vehicles purchased for individual use or for public transport? Guest guest Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 ||om brihaspataye namah|| Dear Suryaviswanadham, namaste We can re-group all these principles coherently: " Vehicles or vahanas are devices that help us to conserve our energy. The conservation of energy is indicated by Venus (ojas or mrityunjaya). " So the bicycle is a vehicle which helps us to conserve our energy by taking us faster to the destination (engine is the human body!). This is the primary karaka ie., Venus. Next, we define a secondary karaka to differentiate the basic types of vehicles. Not considering the unicycle (!), we have roughly two broad classes of vehicles ie., two wheelers and multi-wheelers (more than 2 wheels). The primary difference between these two categories is the balance i.e, in one category, we need to balance the vehicle while in the other we need not pay attention to the balance. Coordination and ergo, the hands are ruled by the 3rd house for which the karaka is Mars. So the karaka for two-wheelers is Mars. Then we can have different types of two wheelers: bicycle, mopeds, scooters, motorcycles. For this we probably need to define a tertiary karaka. Thus the tertiary karaka for bicycles can be Saturn as we need to put in some labor for this while for the others, it can be Mars (agni tatva) with the differentiation coming from the dhana karaka Jupiter. Arudhas and signs may also play a role here (research can be done here). For the other category, this is characterized by a stable equilibrium (as opposed to unstable equilibrium for two wheelers) and the secondary karaka for this is Jupiter (Brihaspati perceived as sitting in contemplative state). Within this we can have autos, cars, buses, trucks etc. Rahu will show heavy machinery. Influence of lagna or 2nd house (self or family), 5th (public transport) & 10th (for working purposes). As for tertiary karakas, Jupiter can show luxury cars such as Mercedes Benz, limousines etc. I remember that when Sarajit and I were trying to work this theory out, we could identify the time period of a person having a Mercedes Benz in which he bought the vehicle on a loan! A lot more remains to be filled in for this theory to consistently work but Laxman Brahma has provided some details which can be categorized according to this theory. Perhaps someone can do some research here if Sanjay has not done this earlier. best regards Hari On 8/4/05, Viswanadham <vishwanatham wrote: Hare Rama KrishnaDear Hari, NamasteLet me try to extend the logic extended by you forward. Guest guest Posted August 5, 2005 Report Share Posted August 5, 2005 Hare Rama Krishna Dear Hari, Namaste That is pretty much detailed! It is Ketu, which is linked with Trucks (elephants) for carrying heavy loads.(JMUS) Mars and balance sounds very good. Guru in a contemplative posture is a real good one! Jaimini talks about Palanquin, which is basically sheltered and carried by labourers. i think this is akin to Chauffeur driven cars. Can we say Venus presents a fuel efficient, sleek variety? regards Viswanadham On 8/5/05, Jyotisa Shisya <achyutagaddi wrote: > ||om brihaspataye namah|| > > Dear Suryaviswanadham, namaste > > We can re-group all these principles coherently: > > " Vehicles or vahanas are devices that help us to conserve our energy.
