I think he is having Eka Nakshatra Dosham, his Moon Nakshatra is Hastha 1st Padam and his mother's is Hastha 4 padam. What are the effects of this? Also he has Rahu in the 9th house in Taurus. While trying to learn about the remedies for Eka Nahshatra Dosha in BPHS Ch. 89 Remedies from Nakshatr Birth,i came accross a dosha named " Rikta-Bhadra Dosha " . Please help me in identifying this dosha.Is the word " bhadra " in this dosha name is same as the word " Bhadra " in " Bhadra Maha Purusha Yoga " ? Guest guest Posted August 2, 2005 Report Share Posted August 2, 2005 Om Gurave Namah Namaste Srinivas garu, For knowing the impact of birth of a child in relatives' birth nakshatras, please read chapter-91 of BPHS. BPHS further says that nakshatra shanti and japam should be performed to counteract the ill-effects of such a birth. For Hasta nakshatra, the Adhi devatha is Savitha or sun, hence you must have an idol of Savithaa devatha in red colour, with two hands, holding a lotus in one hand, riding in a chariot with 7 horses and perform shodasopachaara pooja with the mantra " jaatavedase... " using red cloth, red sandalwood, red flowers, & dhoopam. Afterwords, chanting Gayatri ashtottaram, you must perform homam using " arka samidha " & ghee. Naivedya should be offered in the Eastern direction. The holy water, used in the abhishekam of the idol, is to be sprinkled on the people having common nakshatra. Rahu in the 9th alone may not cause damage to Father, if the 9th lord and Sun are strong in the chart. I also have Rahu in the 9th in my chart, and my father lived upto 90 years:--)). so, please do not worry.
