Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Narasimha, Thanks for your reply in this regard. You covered everything. Yesterday I referred BPHS, to see what it says exactly on these two drishti. What I understood is: Rasi drishti is Fixed, Firm and in FULL. Whereas, all planet have grahadrishti on 7 signs- 3,4,5,7,8,9,10. But, their magnitude varies from house to house and in-between the houses, in proportion and also that magnitude varies to planets to planets in each house. Predominantly, we consider the full aspect as the aspect of the planets. I think this is wrong. This graha drishti is given to judge the strength of the planets. If a planet gets Jupiter's full aspect, then the planet's strength is given +1 full point, if the same planet gets Saturn's full aspect, then the planet gets -1 point. So, the overall strength is 0. Graha drishti is like sitting in a stadium and watching a game on programme. For example, in cricket match if you sit in-between the bowling ends and in the center of the stadium, your view is clear on the pitch. But, highly visible area is the boundary line nearer to your side. Inspite of that our focus is on the pitch. That is why Jupiter has full aspect on the 5th and 9th, its favourite places. You can view the entire stadium, from anywhere in the stadium, but, prime vision area are selective. Rasi drishti is like, if you are in a clustered apartments. You can see your neighbour houses through your window, that is clear, focused and full view. This my thinking after seeing the BPHS, please correct me. Thanks Your sisya Solai Kannan Narasimha Rao [pvr]Wednesday, November 01, 2000 6:56 AMvarahamihira Subject: [sri Guru] Re: Comments on Ash's answers- Lesson 12: YogadasNamaste Ash and Solai,> QUESTION :> [1] Why is only Rasi dristi considered and not Graha dristi ?Sanjay teaches that graha drishti shows a desire toinfluence and rasi drishti shows a materializedinfluence.Graha drishti shows the desire of a planet due to itsinherent nature. Jupiter in lagna, for example, influences putra and dharma sthanas because it is hisinherent nature. If Jupiter is in lagna and a planetis in the 5th house, Jupiter will try to influenceMars because of his inherent nature. However, rasi drishti is different. Rasis aspected withrasi aspect are not based on the inherent nature anddesire. They are based on where a planet is. Just aseveryone living in a house has a clear influence onsomeone living in a neighboring house, all the planetsin a rasi have aspect on another rasi. This aspect isnot based on a planet's inherent nature and desire, butbased on where it is, what its surroundings are and whatit is capable of and entitled to. So rasi aspects aremore important.> Comment:- Honestly, I don't know the answer. But, I will give here what I> think is the answer and let the learned Gurus correct me.> Graha drishti is desire. Rasi drishti is permanent and it is inherent in> the chart. In graha drishti, a malefic planet's drishti is malefic. Whereas,> in rasi drishti, the planet inherits the drishti from the sign.
