Dear Sanjay,

My birth data : Jan 6, 1946, 7:41 PM TZ 5:30, 80E01 7N01. Asc is cancer. I have attached my chart from JHORALITE.

In my Rasi chart 5th lord Mars is debilitated, retrograde and vargoththama. Putrakaraka Jupiter is also vargoththama. In the rasi chart 5th lord Mars aspects putrakaraka Jupiter. We have 3 children.

1st child is from the lord of the 9th house from Saptamsa lagna. Saptamsa Lagna is Aries and the 9th is Sagittarius.

9th lord Jupiter is in Libra -odd rasi. So the first child is a son.

2nd child is from the lord of the 7th in Saptamsa. 7th is Libra-odd sign. Lord Venus is exalted in the 12th house in the saptamsa.

You say that a male child is predicted if the lord is in Pisces or exalted. My 2nd child is a daughter. Is it because Venus is a female planet though it is exalted? Venus is aspected by Mercury and Saturn from Sagittarius.

3rd child is seen from the 5th lord of my saptamsa.5th lord is Sun in Taurus - even rasi. 3rd child is a daughter.

His Saptamsa :Asc Libra. Jupiter in the 4th Capricorn, Moon and Sun in 6th Pisces, Rahuin the 7th Aries, Venus and Mars in the 9th Gemini, Mercury in Virgo.

Hid 5th lord in the rasi is Moon in virgo . Moon is aspected by Putrakaraka Jupiter fromTaurus.Thus progeny is indicated.

In his Saptamsa Chart 5th lord is Saturn in Libra - odd sign. Saturn is exalted.

So the 1st child is son.

2nd child from the lord of 7th of the saptamsa- Mars in Gemini.Gemini is an odd sign. But Gemini is one indication for a female birth. also Mars is conjunct Venus. So this child is a daughter.

3rd child from the lord of the 9th house of the saptamsa- Mercury. It is in an even sign. it is exalted. 3rd child is also a daughter.

Now his 5th lord in the rasi chart has gained only one navamsa. Moon's dispositer Mercury has gained 3 navamsas. On that basis could we say that he has 3 children?

I can not see the careers of the children from my husbands saptamsa.5th lord of the saptamsa is in the asc conjunct Ketu. Does it give a medical career. He is studying to be a chiropractor. As for the 2nd child, the 7th lord of the saptamsa is Mars gone to 9th house of the saptamsa and conjuct the saptamsa lagna lord Venus . connection of the Libra and the 9th house may indicate her career. She is a lawyer.I will leave the analysis of the 3rd child for later as I can not see any career for her in the chart

I am also willing to hear from Sanjay, about your husband saptamsa,

since 9.house lord in his case is mercury which is exalted, and should

bring a son, not daughter. You are right that in your chart, 2.nd

child

should be a male due to venus exaltation.Furthermore, venus is in

parivartan

with jupiter, thus if we take jupiter as bringing results of venus, it

would still

be a male.However, your husband's saptamsa(predominating) indicates

female child. Then, we have to see why mercury in exaltaion has given

birth

to a daughter,not a son? It is not still clear to me, whether should

we take

a direct/ reverse count in case of odd/even sign rising in saptamsa?

Dear Sat Siri Kaur,

This is 4th and 11th from the house. 3rd is 11th from 5th and 8th is 4th from 5th. If you read COVA page 177 it says " 7th and 12th from it " . This is from 5th house. 12 is 4th and 7th is 11th from 5th. There is another one.6th and 11th according to my memory. If it is corect It is again 4th and 11th to the 9th house (Female).

I'm not sure why " lords of the 3rd/8th from the Lagna. " --as mentioned in Sanjay's Saptamsa Article and initial lesson is relevant--is that literally true? It is working here. Pratyantar is Saturn, D-7 Lord conjunct child's lord. Son's lagna is the 5th from saptamsa rashi of father.

As for the son, his fifth house has rashi drishti of Mercury Ketu and Rahu, Jupiter, Mars. Its lord is Venus in malavya yog but in 0 degrees, in seventh amsa. The putrakaraka is Saturn retrograde. D-7 lagna being even sign Scorpio, first child would be seen from the ninth house. This is Cancer ruled by Moon in the fifth in a male sign with two female planets so likely to be a daughter. D-7 Lagnesh is Ketu in fifth . Rahu, currrent dasha lord until 2017, has argala on D-7 lagna and I guess could be said to have argala from seventh on Ketu. Antardasa could be Saturn or more likely Mercury lord of 8th from lagna (?) and having argala with Ketu, D-7 lord, and in rashi chart being in parivartana with putrakaraka . Also because Mercury has the continuity from his own father's chart. A second child can be seen from seventh: its lord debilitated Venus with Rahu in a female sign with male Rahu is more likely female. This could be in Venus bhukti.
