Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

My dear Gauranga,

Today on Guru Poornima and coincidence of an eclipse, I am reminded of

the Paramguru of our Parampara-Sri Achyuta Dasa and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Their kindness and mercy to allow some of us who would follow in their path

to share their light should impel us to share this knowledge. The power of

His divine light is seen in the NAVARNA mantra for lighting a lamp: " OM HUM

RUM CHAITANYAYAI NAMAH " . I really appreciate the keenness and drive with

which you have been working in the Class. There are some secret mantra that

can be recited for great mantrik power during an eclipse.

One such mantra is the seven lettered mantra " OM AIM SHRIM HRIM SHRIM

AIM OM " . Wear white clothes and recite this mantra sitting on a white rug,

facing east. Keep the Shri Yantra (or drawing of the same) in front; offer a

hakki or any other rosary (mala) of 108 beeds to the Shri Yantra. This

mantra be recited during the period of the eclipse. After the eclipse, take

a bath and then throw away this white dress, white rug, hakki mala (or any

other mala offered) in flowing water like a river (Visarjana). The mala on

which the mantra recitation was counted is NOT to be thrown. This mala for

counting is your strength and use a Sphatik or any such mala for this

purpose.

Our Gurudeva Vyasadeva should be worshipped with the mantra:

" OM JUM SAH VYAM VYASADEVAYA NAMAH SAH JUM OM "

" JUM " is the Mritunjaya beejakshara and OM JUM SAH is the Mritunjaya Beeja

Mantra of Kahola Rishi. We accept the truth that Maharishi Veda Vyasa was

none other than Mritunjaya Deva (Shiva, the Great teacher and protector) and

hence worship Him with the above mantra for protection from all evils and

guidance towards Krishna/ Bhagavan.

Re: [sri Guru] Lesson#6

JAYA JAGANNATHA!

Dear Gurudeva,

Pranaams.

Assignment & Task

1. Determine the Hora at the time of birth in your horoscope. Do the houses

ruled by the Lord of the Hora have any special significance in your life?

I was born on 9th Jan 1971 at 19.40 zonal time 1 hour east of Greenwich

which is 19 hours 56 min local time. This is the 14th Hora of that day. The

Vaara is Saturday. The 14th Hora is ruled by the Moon. The Moon rules the

12th house in Rasi which contains the Ghati Lagna as well. So it gives some

public power, but as Cancer is Krishna's sign and is in a Moksha house, I

will use my public influence to direct people to Krishna (hopefully).

Rath: The Moon is a very important planet for Jyotisha. The SaptaRishi sat

around Parvati (Moon) and wrote the Nadi Shastra. Nostradamus worshipped the

Moon for his visions of the world on a bowl of water. The Beejakshara of the

Moon is SHRIM which also refers to the undying fame of Bhagavan. Regular

recitation of this Beejakshara gives excellent health and a peaceful mind.

3. Draw the chart for the swearing-in time for the President/Prime-Minister

of

your Nation and determine the Hora/Hora Lord. Does this have any link to

the main activity or focus of the Government during its tenure? Highlight

the results and failures related to the houses ruled by the Lord of the

Hora.

Can you relate the success and failures to the relationship between the

Lord of the tenth and the Lord of the Hora? You can use Argala, Drishti

etc, to stress your points.

I don't have his swearing-in time, but I will try to get it.

Rath: Try the swearing-in time of the Kumaratunga Govt or Vajpayee Govt

(www.sjvc.net has the charts and data).

4. Will you ever write a book or teach Jyotish? If so, during which Hora

should you give the Guru Mantra to your students? Does this have a link

to the Bhava or the Arudha Pada of the Bhava?

I will give the Guru Mantra during the Hora of Jupiter or Venus, as Jupiter

is lord of 5th, containing Budha-Aditya yoga (also good Hora for starting

the writing or reading of a book related to Jyotish) and Venus is lord of A5

in Libra, which contains Atmakarak Mars as well.

Rath: Jupiter Hora is correct answer as it is the fifth Lord.

5. You would like to buy a new house. Which Hora would be most suitable to

negotiate for the house? On which day should you step into the new

house?

For negotiation the Hora of Mercury is the most suitable as it is lord of

2nd and 11th and is in A2 with Sun, so I won't be cheated. For stepping in

the house Tuesday is good as Mars is lord of 4th house and Atmakarak.

Rath: Negotiations and signing of agreement is seen from the 9th house.

Choose ninth Lord. however, the fourth Lord is the correct answer for all

matters concerning the fourth house.

6. On which day/Hora should you look up a doctor?

On Thursday/Jupiter Hora, as Jupiter is lord of 12th from the 6th. Also Sun

Hora seems to be suitable as Leo is in 8th from 6th.

Rath: Lagna is the indicator of health and the doctor should be seen on

Sundays or in Sun's Hora to have good advice. Jupiter is also 8th Lord for

Leo and do not see doctor on his day or Hora.

7. Which is the best day for you to see his Jyotish? If the Jyotish only

gives

appointment to people on weekends (Saturday/Sunday), then which time

is most suitable?

I think that the 9th house should be involved here, so I would see him in

Horas ruled by 9th lord Mars which are 11 am or 6 pm local time on Saturday,

and 8 am and 3 pm local time on Sundays. Sundays seem more suitable as Sun

is Lagna lord and is in 5th, in Jupiter's sign, thereby making me fit to

receive advice. Saturn is in 9th but not so fine.

Rath: Doctor, Lawyer and Astrologer should be seen in the day of the Lord of

the Lagna or the Hora of Lagnesh. You will get good advise or SATYA on these

days/Hora.

8. You had asked for an interview and the date given is very inauspicious,

say it is ruled by the Lord of the 8th house. The time also seems to be

mostinauspicious. What would you do?

Either postpone it to a suitable date and time or chant Hare Krishna.

Rath: i will answer this after others atempt.

9. Your spouse has asked for a divorce and has walked out of the house.

You don't want to break the marriage. What would you do?

Divorce is seen from the 2nd from Upapada (Gemini in my case) I have Moon

there aspected by Sun and Mercury, so I don't think that divorce threatens

in this case. Anyway, some minor discrepancies may be there. So the best

thing is to choose the lord of the 8th from Gemini (Saturn) and make an

appointment on the day and Hora ruled by Saturn and ask my wife to

reconsider her decision. Jupiter may also be chosen as he is the Badhakesh

for Gemini. Gemini is also the sing showing divorce in Navamsha as he is the

8th from Navamsha Saptama.

Rath: You got the answer, but the argument is not correct. The eighth house

id for Mangalya and this breaks the marriage. So does the second from

Upapada. The seventh house for Leo is Aquarius and choosing the Hora of the

Lord of the Upada on a Saturday you can talk it out with her.

Simultaneously, fasting on days ruled by the Lord of the Upapada is advised.

Your shihsya, Gauranga das

May Jagannath always love you and guide you,

Sanjay Rath

Namasthe Gurudeva Sanjay,

My answers here. (May I know how good is Jupiter hora and Saturn hora for

Gemini born ?)

>Determine the Hora at the time of your birth. Do the houses of the

>lord of hora have any special Significance in your life?

Birth details- 03rd of March 62, 2.35PM at Kandy- Sri Lanka

Standers time zone 82.30= 82.5000

Longitude- Kandy 80.38=80.6333

Differance 1.8667 deg.

Time 7.4668= 7mins and 28 sec.

Starting time of hora 6.00- 7.28sec

=5.52.32

Birth time 14.35

Hora 8.42.28

It is 9th hora of Saturday. Guru hora and Ravi panchama.

Jupiter own 7th and 10th and is the Badakesh for lagna. I have no very

special sighnificance in my life related to this houses. how ever Jupiter is

in 5th from AL and 9th from rasi. This placement given me lot of changes and

very special sighnificance of my life. Religious, interesting ocult

sceinces, and almost all Jupiter influences with me.

>Q3 :

I am thinking to write a seperate letter on this.

>Q4 :

>Will you ever write a book on Jyotish? If so during which HORA should

>you give Guru Mantra to your students. Does

>this have a link to any Bhava or Arudh Pada of the Bhava.

I use Venus Hora as it belongs 5th from lagna. How ever I think Jupiter or

Sun too can be use as is in the 9th with Venus.

>You would like to buy a new house. Which Hora would be most suitable

>to negotiate for the house? On which day should you step into the new

>house?

I take lord of the 4th house. But in my case 4th lord is in 8th from lagna

and 6th from AL. Since it is week in Rasi and D9, again I better select

Venus or Sun. Jupiter is Badakesh for 4th house matter and lagna, so Venus

and Sun can be used.

>Q6 :

>On which day/Hora should you look up a doctor?

I think 11th house or 7th house must be consider. 11th is 12th from 12th

(hospital) and 7th is 12th from 8th. So I better take Mars hora. Also

Mercury as the lord of the lagna can be used.

>Q7:

>Which is the best day for you to see his Jyotish? If the Jyotish only

>gives appointment to people on weekends (Saturday/Sunday), then which

>time is most suitable?

I select Wensday as the lord og the lagna. Wendsday Saturn hora as Mercury

is in Saturn's place.

From week-end I select Saturn. I have Jupiter, Venus and Sun in 9th ruled by

Saturn. So I take Mercury hora on Saturday.

>Q8 :

>You had asked for an interview and the date given is very

>inauspicious, say it is ruled by the Lord of the 8th house. The time

>also seems to be most inauspicious. What would you do?

I will leave house in a good hora Jupiter or Venus.

>Q9 :

>Your spouse has asked for a divorce and has walked out of the house.

>You don't want to break the marriage. What would you do?

Again 7th lord Jupiter is bhadakesh. How ever it is not Bahadaka for 7th, so

I take Jupiter hora.

Hare Krishna
