Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! JAYA SRI RAMA! Dear Gurudeva, Pranaams. I will try to answer some points of the assignment. Introduction Lagna Kendradi Graha Dasa, also known as the Moola Dasa (Refer: Saravali of Kalyan Verma), is one of the very important dasa systems of Vedic astrology. 'Lagna' means the ascendant, 'Kendra' means the quadrants/Cadent houses and 'Adi ' means the " the others " which includes Panapara (Succeedent signs 2nd, 5th, 8th & 11th) and Apoklimas (Precedent signs 3rd, 6th, 9th & 12th). This dasa is vital in that it gives the results of the past life Karma that every individual has to face in the form of suffering or blessing, depending on the Karma. As the name suggests the dasa begins from the Lagna or any other Kendra, whichever is stronger and has planet(s) disposited in them, and is succeeded by the other Kendra's (having planet(s) in it) according to their strengths. After completing the periods of the planets in the quadrants, the dasa shifts to the planets in the four signs in the Panapara and then to the Apoklimas. However, the following rules apply in deciding which sets of houses - the Panapara or Apoklimas succeed the initial dasa of the planets in the quadrants. 1. If the Lagna is an odd sign, the dasa of the planets in the Panapara( 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th ) follow the dasa of the Kendra's. 2. If the Lagna is an even sign, the dasa of the planets in the Apoklimas (Precedent signs 3rd, 6th, 9th & 12th) follow the dasa of the Kendra's. 3. If Saturn is in the Lagna, then irrespective of whether the Lagna is odd or even, the dasa of the planets in the Kendra signs will be followed by the dasa of the planets in the Panapara (2nd, 5th, 8th & 11th). 4. If Ketu is in Lagna, then irrespective of whether the Lagna is odd or even, the dasa of the planets in the Kendra signs will be followed by the dasa of the planets in the Apoklimas (3rd, 6th, 9th & 12th). Sequence of the Dasa In determining the sequence of the dasa of the planets, their relative strengths are to be studied as per standard rules. a.. Among the four signs being considered (i.e. of the Kendra, Panapara or Apoklimas), the strongest is the one associated with the Atmakaraka. If the Atmakaraka is not so placed, then the sign with the larger number of planets is stronger. (The strength of a Rasi is determined on the basis of principles explained later under " Sources of strength " ) b.. If only one planet is placed in the sign, then it shall give its dasa. If more than one planet is placed in the sign, then the planet with the highest longitude shall have the first dasa, followed by the planet with the next higher longitude and so on. Period of the Dasa Count the number of signs from there to its Moolatrikona sign and subtract the number arrived at by 1. This period is to be subtracted from the number of Vimsottari Dasa years assigned to the planet. The net result arrived at indicates the number of years of Moola Dasa/Lagna Kendradi Graha Dasa assigned to the planet. 1.. Rider 1:Add one year to the final sum if the said planet is exalted and subtract one if the planet is in debilitation. 2.. Rider2: For the purposes of this Dasa, the count for Rahu & Ketu shall be reckoned to Aquarius and Scorpio respectively as is done in Narayana Dasa. In case the number of years to be subtracted and the number of years under the Vimsottari scheme are the same wherein the final figure would be zero, then take the full cycle of years under the Vimsottari dasa as the number of Moola dasa years of the said planet in the first cycle. Similarly, calculate the dasa years for the other planets in all the Kendra's, Panapara and Apoklimas. After, having completed the exercise for all the nine planets, the balance years remaining from the first cycle (Param Ayus of man is for 120 years - so it is 120 minus the total Moola dasa years of all nine planets in the first cycle) for each of the planet works in the same order during the second cycle. [Note: The degrees of Rahu and Ketu are taken as they are and not from the reverse as is the usual case in determining their degrees]. For example: Take a case where the Lagna is Gemini and Venus, Mars and Rahu are disposited in it, where Venus being the Atmakaraka is the strongest followed by Mars and Rahu. The Moola Dasa will begin from Gemini (as it is the strongest) and from Venus in particular as it is the strongest. Count the number of signs from Gemini to Libra (the Moolatrikona sign of Venus) - it is 5. As stated above, it will be 5-1 = 4 and 20 years (Sukra Mahadasa period) minus 4 = 16 years. The first dasa will be that of Venus for 16 years followed by Mars and then by Rahu (being lesser in degrees). In case of Rahu, the Moolatrikona sign will be Aquarius while for Ketu, it will be Scorpio. [Lesson: In Phalita Dasa Rahu's debility will be in Sagittarius and in Ayur Dasa, its debility will be in Scorpio, while the reverse i.e., Gemini and Taurus, will be true in the case of Ketu]. Let us study the horoscope of Bhagwan Shri Ram as an example and determine the periods and significance of Moola Dasa in his life. RASI: Lagna, Jupiter & Moon in Cancer; Saturn ® Libra; Mars-Capricorn; Rahu- Sagittarius; Venus- Pisces; Sun-Aries;Mercury-Taurus; Ketu-Gemini. The Moola Dasa of Bhagwan Shri Ram began from Moon in the following manner: 1. Jupiter - Janma 2. Moon - Shiksha & Janaki Vivaha, and 3. Mars - Diksha (by Vishwamitra) 4. Saturn - Dandakaranya (Vanvas) 5. Sun - Simhasana 6. Venus - Mantra Pada (Sita is banished and birth of sons - Luv & Kush) 7. Rahu - End of all Rakshasha/demons 8. Ketu - Establishment of 'Eka Patni Dharma' in the world 9. Mercury - Dharma (establishment of dharma in the world) Jupiter dasa - 16 yrs. - (6-1) +1 = 10 years Moon dasa - 10 yrs. - (11-1) = 10 years Mars dasa - 07 yrs. - (4-1) +1 = 03 years Saturn dasa - 19 yrs - (5-1) +1 = 14 years Sun dasa - 06 yrs. - (5-1) +1 = 01 year Sukra dasa - 20 yrs. - (8-1) +1 = 12 years Rahu dasa - 18 yrs. - (3-1) -1 = 17 years Ketu dasa - 07 yrs. - (6-1) -1 = 03 years Mercury dasa- 17 yrs. - (5-1) = 13 years Thus, the Moola Dasa system is arrived at and it will be seen that this is the only Dasa system that explains the Vanvas (Rama was banished to the Dandaranyaka) for 14 years and that too exactly from the 24 year of His life as recorded in the scriptures. Thus when the Maharishi's say that this period of Sani Dasa was for 14 years, they were referring to the Moola Dasa. Assignment 1. Which Yoga/ planets have contributed to the undying fame of Bhagavan Sri Rama? I think that the four Mahapurusha-yogas (one in each Kendra) were well responsible for this. He bacame especially famous as the upholder of Dharma, religious principles, as exalted Jupiter is in Cancer Ascendant with the Moon, and all this is in Karmapada, so He showed a perfec example. The other factor is exalted venus in the 9th (Mantrapada), which showed that His followers (like Hanuman( loved Him very much. 2. Explain the enemies of Sri Ram and which planets contribute to their rise and which planets contribute to their destruction? Satrupada is Aquarius, so it has two lords, Saturn and Rahu. Saturn is retrograde in the 4th, so this mign=ht indicate his stepmother as the first enemy, who managed to banish Him to the forest. Saturn is also ord of the 7th house, where we see Mars, a malefic. So this may indicate Surpanakha, who wanted to marry Him and whom He disfugured (Mars shows cutting and Capricorn shows a base woman). The third enemy was Ravana, who is indicated by Rahu in the 6th. Ravana was so to say the real enemy, whom Rama killed in the end. Rahu is in Sagittarius, the natural 9th house, so this means that he was not only against Rama, but also against dharma represented by Him. 3. Which is the single most important Dharma lesson taught by Sri Rama which has become the a rule for almost all religions? I think that this must be the Eka-patni-dharma (protecting one wife). Exalted Venus in Dharma bhava shows this. Also dispositor of Venus is in Lagna and Venus is in dual sign. So he would have had the possibility to have more than one wife, but he rejected it. Also Dharma Pada is Scorpio, and lord of it Mars is in the 7th. So this shows the difficultues he had to go through to protect his wife. 4. What was the curse in past life or existence that Sri Rama had to suffer for? Show this curse in the birth chart and explain the remedial measure necessary. The curse might be indicated by the retrograde saturn in the 4th house. Something to do with His mother. Maybe he deserted His mother in the previous birth (I wonder what was Lord Rama's previous birth) and therefore he was banished in this life? I don't know what remedy to use for this. 5. Why was there so much gap between marriage and birth of children? Explain the twin birth and the place & circumstances of their birth. Obviously the child birth may take place in the Moola Dasa of a planet either lording, occupying or giving Rasi dristi on the Mantrapada. So the forst planet like this was Venus, therefore cildren were born in this period. Why twins? because the Mantrapada is in dual sign, plus the 5th house from the 7th has go Mercury in, and the lord of the 5th (Ketu) is in Gemini, sign of Mecury. These reasons begt a twin pair. The A5 fals intot he 9th house, which signifies the Guru, or Vaiswamitra Muni. Therefore the children were born in his Ashrama. 6. Explain Sooparnaka the sister of Ravana and her desire to marry Rama. How did this desire lead to the kidnapping of Sita and the end of Ravana? As I said Soorpanakha was signified by the 7th house, and Sita by the Upapada. So Mars is the lord of Upapada, and this shows the relationship between the two ladies. The Sun in Upapada signifies Sita, and the exalted Sun can not be overpowered even by the aspect of Rahu (although Rahu is capable of eclipsing the Sun for a short while, then he has to release him again.) Therefore Ravana could kidnap Sita, but then Sita was released, and Ravana was defeated. Why was he defeated? because Satrupada (owned by Rahu) is aspeced by three exalted planets and Swakshetra Moon. Therefore he had to be vanished. 7. Why does Parasara give the planet " SUN " to represent Sri Rama? Because the Sun is exalted in Arudha Lagna and shows His victory over all enemies and the shackles of household life (Mars i n 7th). Please evaluate. Your shishya, Gauranga das

By the way, I heard few years ago on one public presentation on Jyotish by one TM practitioner that sun was not malefic in a previous yuga, she also mentioned other planets for other yugas. I cannot remember that. Can you maybe say something on that? I was on a seminar only for an interest sake, so do not remember. I guess also exalt jup-sat gajakesari in 4th from lagna, 1st house, hamsamahapurusha, and in A10 at the same time also contributed, main actually. Venus as ruler of 2nd, ruling longevity of name, exalted in 12th from AL. Mars is Hanumanji I guess, also exalted and ruler of AL. >2. Explain the enemies of Sri Ram and which planets contribute to their rise and which planets contribute to their destruction? Well, obviously the rahu in 6th represents Ravana. Taking 6th as a lagna it is a debilitated malefic in kendra, so raj yoga for Ravana. He was destroyed in Rahu period as this rahu aspects 3rd and 6th from AL and bring padakrama to Rama. Also lord Rama is Sri Vishnu and Jup exalted with moon in lagna in 6th from A6 do not bring any padakrama strenght to enemy to owerpower Him. Sun if taken as benefic also does not. But Sat in 9th from A6 does. >3. Which is the single most important Dharma lesson taught by Sri Rama which has become the a rule for almost all religions? Eka patni Dharma. Why was it established in Ketu period? I cannot understand. >4. What was the curse in past life or existence that Sri Rama had to suffer for? Show this curse in the birth chart and explain the remedial measure necessary. Unfortunately I have not read Ramayana. And part about Rama in Bhagavatam long time ago. Yet I do know that Lord Vishnu was cursed by Narada after preventing Narada to merry a women he wanted to and thus actually saved Narada, which is signified by Saturns lordship of 7th(wife) and (8th separation), lordship that shows the result of the curse(Rama's separation from Sita, and cause actually), which is represented by Rajabhanga Saturn in 4th(leaving home) aspecting Jup and thus destroying happiness. For a remedial measures I would like to find out about few of them first, before recommending any. But I do have a story about Rama ekadashi. Sat causes all troubles. Worship Hanumanji rudra in case of sat trouble. >5. Why was there so much gap between marriage and birth of children? Explain the twin birth and the place & circumstances of their birth. Like I said I have not read Ramayana. So I'll guess. It must have to do with A5 being in 12th from AL. Twin birth from Rahu-Ketu aspect. Place, no idea. >6. Explain Sooparnaka the sister of Ravana and her desire to marry Rama. How did this desire lead to the kidnapping of Sita and the end of Ravana? Do not remember. >7. Why does Parasara give the planet " SUN " to represent Sri Rama? His main theme in life was to uphold Dharmic principles that are signified by Sun, and destroy demons. Guest guest
Which Yoga/planets have contributed to the undying fame of Bhagavan Sri Ram? A5 is occupied by 4th and 11th lord Venus who is exalted. Lord of A5 is exalted in Asc along with Moon causing Gajakesari Yoga. Cancer is aspected only by Merc from 11th house. Gajakesari yoga is fully functional. More over A5 is occupied by exalted Venus and lord Jupiter is exalted causing Gajakesari made Sri Ram very very famous and powerfull. Venus, Jupiter and Moon are responsible for this. Even AL is occupied by exalted 5th (from AL) lord Sun. 2. Explain the enemies of Sri Ram and which planets contribute to their rise and which planets contribute to their destruction? Satru pada A6 is in Aq in 8th from Lagna. Also, the lord of A6 Saturn is exalted in Libra. This shows powerfull enemies causing uncomfort to Sri Ram in un-expected ways. The fact that retrogant Saturn is the lord of A6 also suggest cunning and un-truthfull ways of enemies to cause sudden damages. More over co-lord of A6 in in 6th house. Presence of Rahu in A6 indicates Rakshasa as enemies. But, 6th lord is Jupiter. So, even the enemies were devotive. But Sri Ram would have had a feeling of dharma sansthaapanam while he is facing enemies. Strong Jupiter and aspect of Mercury (3rd lord) on Saturn have made Sri Ram emerge winner with ease. Sri Ram was never under stress while fighting. He knew the enemy is no match to him. In fact in ending days of fight with Ravana, Rama starts showering arrows on enemies and tells his men that only Siva can shower arrows like that apart from him. 3. Which is the single most important Dharma lessin taught by Sri Rama which has become a rule for almost all religions? This is a defficult question. We take his entire life as a role model. He showed that rulers have to compromise with thier personal pleasures and even sacrifice thier pleaser for benifit/happyness of poeple. He sent a message of eka patni vrata. (but he promises that he will not observe it in the next incarnation. So, I do not really know whether we should say this ;-) 9th is occupied by exalted Venbus who owns 11th and 4th. From AL 9th is occupied by Rahu. A9 is Sco. Lord is exalted in Cp. A9 is occupied by Mars, Sun, Jupiter and Moon. I can not really answere this question. 4. What was the curse in the past life or existence that Sri Rama had to suffer for? Show this curse in birth chart and explain the remidial measure necessary? I would say patni viyogam is what Rama had to suffer. Out of all the rasis in his chart only 6th and 7th were afflicted. 7th is occupied by malefic Mars who also own A7 and UL. Lord of UL is 7th is good. But, Saturn is aspecting UL. So, the intervention of outsiders with his marriage. But, I am not able to see if it was due to a curse from past life. 5. Why was there so much gap between marriage and birth of children? Explain the twin birth and the place and circumstances of their birth. Saturn being in 12th from 5th and 8th from A5 has not given children. 6. Explain Soorpanakha the sister of Ravana and her desire to marry Rama. How did this desire lead to the kidnapping of Sita and the end of Ravana? Sri Rams 7th house is occupied by UL and A7 lord Mars. UL is occupied by another malefic Sun. 7th is aspected by Merc. Saturn is aspecting UL (graha drishti) indicating external influence on marriage. Saturn also plays an important role in enemies etc as he owns A6 and 8th. Both Saturn and Mars are aspected by Taurus and Mercury. 7. Why does Parasara give the planet "SUN" to represent Sri Rama? Is Sun atma karaka for Sri Rama? Sun is exalted in AL. I have a fundamental doubt. I believed that in Kritha nad treta yuga the average life span was much hiegher than 120 yrs (here "yrs" is current year). For example if we read about Mucikundas story, it becomes evidant that the life span and the "average height of people" has decreased from Tretayugam to dvapara yugam. So, the "yrs" mentioned in Lession are same as "years as they are now"? I will attempt this lession again later after refering to Jataka Parijatam and Brihatjjatakam as suggested by you. About aditya hridayam, I will get the correct word from my brother and post it to the list. Your sishya, Vijay.
Guest guest
Dear Gurudev, Pranams, Jaya Jagannath Another thought on Surpanakha, probably better then the previous one. Being a Ravana's sister she can be seen from the 3rd from A6. It's lord Mars in the 7th indicating desire to marry Rama. 4th Aspect on the UL also indicates envy of Sita. 8th Aspect on the 2nd indiactes also indicates illicit desire as well as kidnapping Sita. 7th aspect on the 8th from Rahu indicates leads Ravana to death. your shishya Yasomatinandana das

How did this desire lead to the > kidnapping of Sita and the end of Ravana?7. Why does Parasara give the > planet " SUN " to represent Sri Rama? Sanjayji, Here are my attempts. 1.Ruchak/hamsa/Sasa yogas from both lagna/arudha lagna with the strenght of sun/moon 2.A6 is kumbha, very evil sign. Thus the Demon Ravana was his enemy.Rahu in 6.house gives fierce enemies, however it will ultimately destroy them since it is good to have malefic graha in 6.house(tamas is needed to destroy the enemy)Furthermore,benefics(guru/chandra) in the 6.house from A6 as well as the exalted sun(not papa) are good for destruction of the enemy. The enemy was knowledgable.Lord of 6.house in lagna(8.from 6.house)thus giving diseases/destruction to an enemy. 3.Venus rules purity(senses) So in exaltation in 9.house,it indicates pure senses.IT is rajas graha.Rajas has a tendency to manifest. He manifested the pure behavior and senses.Dharmesh in lagna with lagna lord in exaltation/own sign indicate that he was enbodiment of the dharma. Sun in AL,with ALmars in exaltation in 10.house,indicate that in his activites(10.house) he destroyed demons/evil(uchch Mars) It happened through a wife, due to venus exaltation in dharma house/and lord of 10.house in exaltation in 7.house. 4.Rahu in dhanu indicate the curse of a Brahmin.Mangal and shani aspects guru, thus there is a curse related to children.Guru as a 6.lord also aspects mars(5.lord)However,9.lord is not in the 8.house,thus the curse is easy to remove.Nineth lord jupiter is with moon, but 4.house(which moon singifies) is afflicted by saturn. Thus he was also exiled.Chandra is afflicted by saturn/mars 5.Should we do it from rashi chart only?A5 is in 12.house from AL.(unfavourable) and AL is the same as UL-favourable.Budh is dual graha having dhrishti over 5.house/5.house lord and guru.Scorpio is ruled by both ketu/mars.Ketu is placed in gemini. 6.Perhaps,the reason is following.A6 is kumbha.3.house from a6 is mesh(upapada) with mars ruler, placed in 7.house(wife) 7.I will be waiting for your clarification on this. With regards, Zoran
Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Gurudeva, Pranaams. RATH: NOT THE CORRECT ANSWER FOR FAME. OUT OF THE FIVE " PANCHA MAHAPURUSHA YOGA " , FOUR ARE PRESENT IN THIS CHART CONFIRMING HIS DIVINITY (REFER TO VARAHAMIHIRA'S BRIHAT JATAKA " DO YOU HAVE THIS BOOK BY B.SURYANARAYAN RAO? THUS YOU HAVE ANSWERED ANOTHER QUESTION THAT IS WHAT IS THE PROOF THAT SRI RAMA WAS BHAGAVAN BY GIVING THE EXAMPLE OF THE PANCHA MAHAPURUSHA YOGA. I have the translation by Usha & Shashi. Where is this part about the Mahapurusha yogas? So should we conclude what Zavsai said was the correct answer ? (Exalted Sun in the 10th house and Gajekesari yoga in A10? > 2. Explain the enemies of Sri Ram and which planets > contribute to their rise and which planets contribute to > their destruction? > > Satrupada is Aquarius, so it has two lords, Saturn and Rahu. > Saturn is retrograde in the 4th, so this mign=ht indicate > his stepmother as the first enemy, who managed to banish Him > to the forest. Saturn is also ord of the 7th house, where we > see Mars, a malefic. So this may indicate Surpanakha, who > wanted to marry Him and whom He disfugured (Mars shows > cutting and Capricorn shows a base woman). The third enemy > was Ravana, who is indicated by Rahu in the 6th. Ravana was > so to say the real enemy, whom Rama killed in the end. Rahu > is in Sagittarius, the natural 9th house, so this means that > he was not only against Rama, but also against dharma > represented by Him. RATH: VERY GOOD ANSWER ON THE SATRUPADA. EXCELLENT IN FACT, BUT THE ANALYSIS SHOULD BE MORE DETAILED WHEN WE ARE DOING YUDDHA PRASNA AS THESE ARE VERY SERIOUS MATTERS. THAT POINT ON SOOPARNAKA IS NOT CORRECT. SHE LOVED RAMA BUT HER APPROACH WAS NOT PROPER. I didn't mean to say that Surpanakha vas inimical. If I'm correct in stating thatt Mars signifies her, then Mars is a Yoga Karaka for Cancer Lagna, so ca'nt be stated flatly to be a malefic. But maybe because of ret. Saturn being in the 4th and at the same time being the dispositor of Mars, Rama didn't appreciate her sentiments. And this instance happened in Saturn's Moola Dasha. Saturn also gives a Graha Dristi on Aries (Darapada). So there may ahev been soem desire (relationship between Saturn and Mars) but it wasn't fulfilled. Could I have a litthe explanation on Yuddha Prashna and Parakrama Bala? these topics are unlceas for me. But at least we could say that AL is sitronger than A6 as the forst has exalted Sun, and the second is empty. > 3. Which is the single most important Dharma lesson taught > by Sri Rama which has become the a rule for almost all > religions? > > I think that this must be the Eka-patni-dharma (protecting > one wife). Exalted Venus in Dharma bhava shows this. Also > dispositor of Venus is in Lagna and Venus is in dual sign. > So he would have had the possibility to have more than one > wife, but he rejected it. Also Dharma Pada is Scorpio, and > lord of it Mars is in the 7th. So this shows the > difficultues he had to go through to protect his wife. RATH: SIMPLY BRILLIANT. > > 4. What was the curse in past life or existence that Sri > Rama had to suffer for? Show this curse in the birth chart > and explain the remedial measure necessary. > > The curse might be indicated by the retrograde saturn in the > 4th house. Something to do with His mother. Maybe he > deserted His mother in the previous birth (I wonder what was > Lord Rama's previous birth) and therefore he was banished in > this life? I don't know what remedy to use for this. RATH: NOT CORRECT. PLEASE TRY AGAIN OR WAIT FOR THE OTHERS TO RESPOND. So this might again be the answer given by Zavisa about Narada Muni cursing Rama (Vishnu) because He prohibited him from getting married. The kidnapping of Sita happened in Saturn Dasa, therefore I think that Saturn really indicates this curse. Libra occuppied by Saturn is lorded by Venus, which is in A5. therefore this might show a curse coming from a shishya (os subordinate) As Venus is involved, it might indicate soemthing in connection with wife or marriage. Saturn at the same time indicates renounciation, therefore this explains the story related by Zavisa. Where is it from? Also, if we take Rahu to be stronger than Saturn, then Libra becomes A8 (I don't know if I'm correct on this). So A8 may be related to past life events. > 5. Why was there so much gap between marriage and birth of > children? Explain the twin birth and the place & > circumstances of their birth. > > Obviously the child birth may take place in the Moola Dasa > of a planet either lording, occupying or giving Rasi dristi > on the Mantrapada. So the forst planet like this was Venus, > therefore cildren were born in this period. Why twins? > because the Mantrapada is in dual sign, plus the 5th house > from the 7th has go Mercury in, and the lord of the 5th > (Ketu) is in Gemini, sign of Mecury. These reasons begt a > twin pair. The A5 fals intot he 9th house, which signifies > the Guru, or Vaiswamitra Muni. Therefore the children were > born in his Ashrama. RATH: YOU ALSO NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY NO CHILDBIRTH IN SATURN DASA. THE POINT ABOUT TWINS HAS BEEN EXTENDED. PLEASE STUDY SARAVALI OR JATAKA PARIJATHA. PLEASE RECHECK THE ASHRAM WHERE SITA STAYED AFTER BEING BANISHED. Oh yes, the Ashram was of Valmiki Muni. Saturn is in the sign of Venus and is Sasthastama with A5. So it tends to deny progeny as it is eunuch. But Venus Dasa brought the result as then its effect overpowered that of Saturn. Regarding twins I will do the study and then report. > 6. Explain Sooparnaka the sister of Ravana and her desire to > marry Rama. How did this desire lead to the kidnapping of > Sita and the end of Ravana? > > As I said Soorpanakha was signified by the 7th house, and > Sita by the Upapada. So Mars is the lord of Upapada, and > this shows the relationship between the two ladies. The Sun > in Upapada signifies Sita, and the exalted Sun can not be > overpowered even by the aspect of Rahu (although Rahu is > capable of eclipsing the Sun for a short while, then he has > to release him again.) Therefore Ravana could kidnap Sita, > but then Sita was released, and Ravana was defeated. Why was > he defeated? because Satrupada (owned by Rahu) is aspeced by > three exalted planets and Swakshetra Moon. Therefore he had > to be vanished. RATH: NOT CORRECT. PLEASE RETHINK. I'm not able to add anything more on this at the present. > 7. Why does Parasara give the planet " SUN " to represent Sri > Rama? > > Because the Sun is exalted in Arudha Lagna and shows His > victory over all enemies and the shackles of household life > (Mars i n 7th). RATH: THEN WHY DOES PARASARA GIVE MOON FOR SRI KRISHNA? HIS LAGNA WAS TAURUS WITH THE MOON IN IT. All right. The other version is that the Sun and the Moon have royal status and they are obviously the most miportant among the planets. In Rig Veda it is also stated that they ate the tow eyes of the Lord. Therefore the two most m=important Avatars should be represented by the Sun and the Moon. Rama was born in Raghu-vamsa or Surya-vamsa (the kingly dinasty originating from the Sungod), and Krishna in Yadu-vamsa or Soma-vamsa (the kingly dinasty originating from the Moon). Another question that I was unable to resolve: what determined Rama's complexion to be green and that of Krishna's to be black (dark blue). Is anybody able to explain to me? Your shishya, Gauranga das RATH: I WOULD GRADE THIS AS A VERY GOOD ATTEMPT. kEEP IT UP Thank You. This is all Your mercy. BLESSINGS OF SRI JAGANNATH SANJAY Thanks very much. I crave for Sri Jagannath's mercy.
Guest guest
Vyam Vyasa Devaya Namah Namasthe Gurudeva. My answers below. >1. Which Yoga/ planets have contributed to the undying fame of Bhagavan Sri Rama? 1. All quadrants from Lagana, Chandra Lagna and Surya Lagna are occupying four exaulted planets. This given the undying fame of Sri Rama. (If the Lagna is Cancer with Jupiter and Moon in it and Venus/ Mercury in trines with malefic in 3rd /6th/11th ; one will have unlimited Ayush. (Shambu Hora)) >2. Explain the enemies of Sri Ram and which planets contribute to their rise and which planets contribute to their destruction? 6th from lagna shows enemies. Rahu in the 6th indicate ASURA must be the first rate enemy. Saturn being in upachaya house from Rahu and retrograted, as results of past karma, Saturn given rise to enemy " Asura. " This is enhanced by Saturn's ownership of the A6, and occupying in the 9th from A6. Mercury too gives rise to enemies, as above. Mars and Ketu in maraka houses ( 2,7) from 6th house is more beneficial to Sri Rama and gives destruction to Rawana- Asura. Here Mars indicates the ability and power (10th load), and Kethu is the Moksha Karaka. Kethu is in the 12th from Atma karaka and combination of 9th and lagna lord in 1st, and strong 9th house indicate his natural dharmic qualities. Hence, Jupiter, moon, Ketu, Mars given destruction to enemies. >3. Which is the single most important Dharma lesson taught by Sri Rama which has become the a rule for almost all religions? Eka patni Dharma. Why was it established in Ketu period ? Ketu is moksha karaka and 12th from Atma karaka. Ketu is the only benefic who aspecting Venus (rasi dristi) >4. What was the curse in past life or existence that Sri Rama had to suffer for? Show this curse in the birth chart and explain the remedial measure necessary. To be continued..waiting for feed back. AS AN EXAMPLE I CITE THE HOROSCOPE OF BILL CLINTON WHO HAS KETU IN THE SECOND FROM ARUDHA LAGNA AND DURING JUPITER DASA KETU ANTARDASA HE SUFFEREND AN END TO LOVE AFFAIRS AND SOME TROUBLE THAT SHOULD HAVE HELPED HIM TO CHANGE. THUS KETU IN THE 12TH HOUSE IN THE CHART OF SRI RAMA SHALL LEAD TO SEPARATION AND MANY TROUBLES IN THEIR MARRIED LIFE AS THIS IS GOOD FOR SANYASA (BRAHMACHARYA/RENUNCIATION). HOWEVER, IT HAS ARGALA AND ASPECT ON VENUS IN THE NINTH HOUSE BESIDES BEING THE LORD OF THE DHARMAPADA OR BHAGYA PADA (A9). > > >4. Guest guest
OM VISHNAVE NAMAH Dear Karu, Natural benefics damage themselves and do not harm others whereas natural malefic planets damage others and not themselves. Jupiter is a first rate benefic and being placed in the eighth from its own sign shall damage Sagittarius. In one chart with Aries Lagna and Jupiter in the fourth house in exaltation, I had ventured that the father died early. This was correct. The 2nd is a Natural Killer, and this is not being disputed. Just another very solid point was made by Sat Siri.
