Dear Guru-deva Sanjayji,

 

Pranams! Dandavats! All glories to Sri Guru and Gouranga! All glories to

Srila Prabhupada! All glories to your service!

 

I understand the painful nature of the business aspect of jyotish. I am also

reluctant to take Laxmi for the help I give people. When I do jyotish for

devotees I ask for a donation to Vrinda-devi and it goes to the Vrinda Trust

project. The devotees write a check directly to Vrinda Trust. So I remain

busy, but no Laxmi is coming into my personal bank account. I feel enthused

that I can do some service to Vrinda-devi. If it wasn't for my husband

insisting that I take some Laxmi who knows if energy would be exchanged.

 

I empathize with your mindset. It is beautiful and innocent but Brahmins are

to be protected and supported, just as I am being protected by my patiguru,

Srutakirti Prabhu. Laxmi should be given as a donation to the Sri Jagannath

Vedic Center. You should not refuse to receive Laxmi on behalf of Sri

Jagannath as you did when I tried to give you some Laxmi while I was in

Delhi. That is your seva to bring the Goddess of Fortune to Sri Jagannath, to

deliver Sri Laxmiji to the Lotus feet of Sri Jagannath.

Of course we are all lazy. I am! Lazy intelligence is recommended by my

beloved guru-deva Srila Prabhupada! If we work smarter not harder this is

recommended. When we realize what it takes to learn and get enthused to

devote ourselves these obstacles will seem like pebbles on the path.

 

Tell your students to continue taking notes, that tapes and transcripts do

not take the place of personal effort. Tapes can be made available for

purchase. Everyone should be encouraged to donate to help cover the expenses

and expand the efforts of the Sri Jagannath Vedic Center.

 

Shisa mean servants, we need to be disciplined and do something to please our

teacher so Lord Jagannath is pleased. We should take that seriously. As

shisa's, we need to be part of the solution not simply just taking, taking

and taking so much wisdom with out reciprocation. How can we expect to get

the siddhi required to be a first class jyotishi, without pleasing Jagannath?

Ashok and others taped the lectures, but there were no transcripts made.

Thus, I asked them to discontinue it. I am telling Ashok to make copies of

the tapes of earlier classes that Dinanath can send to you. Let us see if

Unfortunately, I just got a letter from Daivisakti Prabhu and she is not

coming, but there is another devotee staying in my flat, who is getting

married there in Vrindavan. Her name is Vijay Laxmi, she will be returning

to Philadelphia around April 20th. Daivisakti comes up to Delhi from

Vrindavan usually Tuesdays and Fridays. Dina-nath Prabhu can give Daivisakti

the tapes and she can give them to Vijay Laxmi. Vijay Laxmi can give them to

me and I can make transcripts.

 

The business aspect of Sri Jagannath Vedic Center needs to be organized. As

a brahmin, you can't be expected to be so tangled in this. Your knowledge,

time and energy needs to be appreciated and supported. I can be involved

from a simple management point of view from this side, here in USA or where

ever Lord Jagannath puts me.

 

<<<<< At the moment I am having some financial problems with very high

expenses having overtaken the fledling personal economy. The telephone bills

have risen from Rs 300 to Rs 4000 and so have so many other costs. That is

why I am not using the internet at all. Only a very few messages like this

are being sent when I have to.

 

The costs of SJVC itself are very high and prohobitive with rent at Rs

5000 and costs of Purohit for daily pooja and Manager at Rs3000 and so many

other costs like electricity etc. I am not good in business and that is why

all these problems result. The cheque for Car instalment (Rs 3300) bounced

last month and somehow I was able to arrange the money.

 

Honestly, with all this what Jyotish will I do? When the mind is not

peaceful, creative work cannot be done. That is why I said that I would be

off teaching for sometime. I am doing some planning and rethinking and will

come out with alternative solutions very soon.>>>>>>

 

I would like to help. Also for me Laxmi is harder to find lately as I am

running Sani Bhukti with transiting Sani aspecting natal Venus, but somehow I

still want to help in the effort to spread the glories to Sri Jagannath. So

I am emailing Daivisakti to give Dina-nath $100 about 4,300 rupees donation

to help this month with your expenses. I will deposit laxmi into our Vrinda

Trust account on this side and she can give laxmi to Dina-nath Prabhu to give

to you there in India. I pledge to do some seva to Sri Jagannath Vedic

Center, so we can continue to drink from the well spring of knowledge and

benefit all mankind.

 

We are all beggers at the lotus feet of Sri Jagannath! I pray that all

shisas feel enthused to do Jagannath seva. I pray that you can peacefully

execute your service to Sri Jagannath and continue to share Acyuta's wisdom

with us all.

Thank you so much for your generous offer. We sishyas are all ecstatic to

absorb and apply as much transcendental knowledge as possible. Thank you for

acting with enthusiastic appreciation regarding the sharing of Acyuta's and

Sanjay's wisdom. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

 

Someone there must have a tape recorder or do you want to get something else?

One idea maybe to purchase a digital recorder so lectures can be put on the

internet. I am pricing transcribing machines here. I can get a first class

second hand machine for $250.00. If Guru-deva agrees, I will start

transcribing as soon as the first tape arrives. I am grateful to have this

opportunity to learn and share. I love to hear Sanjay speak this Parashara

Jamini, Acyuta knowledge. SJVC could sell tapes too! When I get hear this

detailed knowledge somehow it is easier to understand. When I read it, I

can't seem to really comprehend, the understanding escapes me. I am sure

there are a lot of people, who like me, learn better by hearing than seeing.

 

If it is Guru-deva's wish, you could tape Guru-deva's lectures, I can make

copies and offer them for sale in USA. SJVC can sell them in sets. I can

open up a Citibank account and deposit Laxmi to the account here and Laxmi

can be taken out in Delhi by ATM. I can bring the ATM card during Kartik.

Perhaps others can do this in Europe. I have a fast tape duplicating

machine. I just have to get it back from the person I lent it to in Florida.

week from my weekly wages by 10 weeks I can recover same.

The money is ready from now. You may shop arround to find your equipment

after discuss with Gurudeve and please inform me. I will arrange payment by

credit card to the shop directly, or I will fax to you or SJVC.

What ever going to happen, please note this little amount is ready, and kept

away. It is for SJVC. I need not take it back. If you have all equipment, we

will forward it to Gurudeve for future work. ( It is around $ 300 in US $ )
