Dinakaran Thangaraju wrote: > 1) What is Santhana thithi, Trispuda , and santhana Trispuda ? Santhana thithi: 5 X Moons' Longitude - 5 X Sun's longitude Eg. In my chart (Sep 26,1974 7.34 am (IST), at 81E12 and 16 N 15 Moon is at 9 Cp 41'37.30 " i.e. 279deg 41'37.30 " Sun is at 9 Vi 8' 16.25 " i.e. 159 deg 8'16.25 " 5 X Moon = 1399 deg 27' 46.50 " i.e. 319 deg 27' 46.50 " 5 X Sun = 795 deg 41' 21.25 " i.e. 75 deg 41' 21.25 " Santhana thithi = 319 deg 27' 46.50 " - 75 deg 41' 21.25 " = 243 deg 46 min 25.25 sec This falls in Krishna Paksham. It was Krishna paksha sashti. Results: If santhana thithi falls before 5th of Sukla paksha, " question of having children is doubt full. If Santhana thithi (ST) is 6-10 (Sukla paksha) chances are moderate. From 10-Full moon day : Result is certain. In Krishna paksha: 1-2 : Children will be born and no second marriage is needed 3 : Require 2 marriages 4 : 3 marriages 5 : 4 marriages 6 : 5 marriages 7-10 : Must perform remidial measures. 11-new moon: No issue except when past karma forces the event. The effects and remidies are listed there onwards (In Prasna Marga). Due to lack of time, currently I am not able to expand this mail. Santhana graha: Take a planet and multiply its longitude by 5, and we get the longitude of corresponding santhana planet. santhana trisputa = santhana guru + santhana ravi + santhana chandra eg. In my case, santhana guru = 5 X 316deg 51'21.88 " = 1584 deg 16' 49.40 " = 64deg 16' 49.40 " Now, santhana trisputa = 64deg 16' 49.40 " +75 deg 41' 21.25 " + 319 deg 27' 46.50 " = 459 deg 25' 57.15 " = 99 deg 25' 57.15 " = 9 Cn 25'57.15 " = Pushyami 2nd quarter. The original idea is to calculate these for the prasna time. > 2) What is the formula of in those spudas? please give one example > 3) What is an importants of Beejaspuda , kshthraspuda? Divide the expired portion of the asterism occupied by Jupiter in ghatis and vighatis by 5 and note down the resulting signs, etc. Similiarly treat the expired postion of the asterism occupied by Sun and Venus. All these three added together give Beeja Sphuta. Likewise deal with the expired portion of the asterisms occupied by Mars and Moon. To these add the result got from the asterism occupied by Jupiter, Kshetra sphuta is obtained. Results: If Beeja sphuta occupies an odd sign and an odd navamsa and is aspected by/associated with benefics; it is considered as strong. If otherwise, it is weak. If Kshetra sphuta occupies an even sign and an even navamsa and is aspected by/associated with benefics,, it is strong. If other wise, it is weak. If the vargas occupied by these two are owned by benefics, they are good. If owned by malefics, they are bad. If Rahu aspects or associates with Kshetra sphuta, childlessness/loss of children will be due to fury of the serpent god. The aspect/association of Gulika brings about trouble from pretas. Saturn indiacates sins committed in past life. Mars shows trouble from enemies or deities like Bhairava/Chamundi. For male BS and for female KS and in case of horary chart both must be calculated. If any one is afflicted, defect is with the corresponding person. So, these are usefull in determining the reason for being childness. They help us identify the reason and who is responsible for nonn-issue. I have not used these at all. I am refering to Prasna marga and giving as per the test. Regards, Vijay.
