[Jagannath] Drig dasa: Narasimha

Namaste Narasimha,

 

Yes, Drig dasa as you have taught it, is absolutely powerful in the timing

of spiritual events, such as meeting one's guru, taking initiation, taking

Sannyas, entering the temple, etc. Thanks for your illustrations of this.

 

* A while back, you questioned the lagna of my Vimsamsa, as it is on the

border between Aries and Taurus. I take the D-24 lagna in my chart to be

Taurus, based on the kind of devotions (bhakti-yoga) that I did most of my

life, and also the mission and orientation of my guru for spreading Krsna

Consciousness in the world.

 

* Anyway, using Drig dasa of the Rasi chart, the proper timings for my

meeting my guru, taking 1st initiation, then 2nd initiation, and then much

later, receiving the Guru Gayatri mantra from Sri Sanjay Rath, are easy to

see. These observations are poignant as per Drig dasa, even without seeing

the D-24 Narayana dasa, which could be taken as controversial in my case

with question over the D-24 lagna.

DASAS AND EVENTS

 

* I first met my guru, Sri Srimad A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, in San

Francisco on January 10, 1970. This was the Drig dasa of Sagittarius,

Antaradasa of Pisces. Sg, as you have indicated as auspicious for such

events, is Mantra-pada; it is aspected by Atmakaraka Mars, as well as

exalted 9th and 12th lord Mercury, who rules Guru-pada (A9). AD sign of

Pisces is similarly aspected by all the above, while its lord Jupiter joins

Ketu in 9th therefrom.

 

* First initiation came during the AD of Aquarius, in summer of 1970. Aq

is the 5th directly, and aspected by 5th lord and yogakaraka Saturn, as

well as Moon, both representing initiation into Vaishnavism (Krsna

Consciousness).

 

* 2nd initiation came in spring of 1971, during AD of Capricorn. This was

a Brahminical initiation, during which I received the Kama-gayatri mantra.

Jupiter/Ketu aspect Cp, although I'm not quite sure how to interpret the

aspect of Rahu, and presence of Mrtyupada in Cp. Any ideas?

 

* My great fortune of receiving the Guru Gayatri mantra from Sri Sanjay,

came recently during the major Drig dasa of Scorpio (containing

Jupiter/Ketu), and AD of Pisces, who again has aspect of A5, A9, Atmakaraka

Mars, and lagna and 9th lord Mercury. Lord of 5th also aspects dasa sign

plus Jupiter/Ketu. Note that Pisces was also the AD sign operative when I

met my Sad-guru, Srila Prabhupada.

 

So these Drig dasa correspondences are exactly correct in my case. More

studies with renunciates and spiritualists could prove to be rewarding

within in the context of this dasa.

 

* Question: Can you take Drig dasa to D-20, and study it in that context,

similar to how we do it for D-20 Narayana dasa?
