Guest guest
Dear Gurudev, Sarat Prabhu and other respected list members Hare Krishna. Jaya Jagannath I feel that some subjects from the previous Assigment were not completed yet. In particular the one with the mantras to Dasavataras. Let me summ up what has appeared so far: Lord Matsya - nothing Lord Kurma - nothing Lord Nrisimha - Jaya Jaya Sri Narasimha Lord Vamana - TRINI PADA VICHAKRAME VISHNURGOPAADABHYAM | ATHO DHARMANI DHARAYAN Lord Parashurama - nothing Lord Ramachandra - 'Ramaya Namah' or 'Jaya Ram Sri Ram Jaya Jaya Ram' Lord Krishna - Hare Krishna Mahamantra Lord Buddha - There was 'om namo bhagavate Vasudevaya' but it was still not for Lord Budha but for Lord Visnu (which is also represented by Mercury, though) Lord Kalki - nothing Can we please fill in the gaps. Worse comes to worst one can always chant OM " the respective name in Dative case " Namah Another question. Can you please enlighten why Lord Kalki stands for Ascnendant. I did not also see a direct reference to it in the BPHS. Kindest regards, Yasomatinandana das p.s. Dear Gurudev, are we still going by the Syllabus? At which point are we situated now? Or everybody goes his at his own pace?

Guest guest
Jai Jai Shri Jagannath Om Ganeshaya Namah Dear YND, Sorry of the delay in reply. I am collecting the mantras for the Dasavatar. I shall mail it in a day to two. Regarding Kalki avatar for Lagna - My inference is that in the Kaliyug we are all born out of only two reasons (i) karma (actions) and (ii) desires (kama). The entire focus of the birth is on what karma (debts and credits) we have brought with us and we will accumulate in this present birth; and, on what unfulfilled desires we have had that has caused this rebirth, or will cause the rebirth. Thus, the entire focus is on the self. Good desires will invariably lead to good actions (karma) and good karma will set the atma on the path to God. This is only my understanding and interpretation. Need not necessarily be correct. May the enlightened ones correct us. Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear Sarat, Lagna represents DHI_SHAKTI...Gayatri is the best for the Lagna and the ekakshara is OM. No other mantra is advised as the lagna in the 12th from Karakamsa is not to be considered an avatar in Kali Yuga. When He appears, then only will the Maharishi's come to advise the world.
