Om Vara Siddhi Vinayakaya Namah

Namaste friends,

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! On this auspicious occasion, I have a good news

for those interested in conducting fine researches into rasi dasas of

Parasara and Jaimini and possessing windows 95 or 98 or NT computers.

When dividing rasi dasas (like Narayana dasa, chara dasa, shoola dasa

etc) into antardasas, pratyantardasas etc, tradition recommends that

solar years should be used and Sun's longitude should be divided

equally. Two sub-periods of a period are deemed to be equal in length if

and only if Sun moves by exactly the same amount (degrees, minutes and

seconds) in those sub-periods. Sun's longitude is the measure of time.

Dividing Sun's longitude difference into 12 equal parts and finding

dates and times corresponding to those is compulsory if one wants to go

upto low level divisions of dasas. These calculations are too cumbersome

to do manually.

So Sri Jagannath Vedic Center (SJVC) is releasing a free software that

does it. Given the date and time of birth, starting year of a mahadasa

(MD) and the duration (in years) of a mahadasa, this program can find

the start/end times of all antardasas (AD), pratyantardasas (PD),

sookshma-antardasas (SD), prana-antardasas (PAD) and deha-antardasas

(DAD) very accurately. (Sun's geocentric tropical positions are found

with an accuracy of 0.08 arc-sec. This accuracy is with the tropical

positions. Correct ayanamsa is, however, a controversial issue. But

please note that ayanamsa has very minimal impact here. As long as

ayanamsa has the same error at birth and now, there should not be an

impact!)

Given the date and time of an event in addition to the data above, it

can find the running sub-periods upto deha-antardasa at the time of the

event (e.g. " 4th AD - 5th PD - 11th SD - 3rd PAD - 7th DAD " in the given

mahadasa). You will have to find the sub-period sequences yourself (i.e.

what 1st AD, 2nd AD, 3rd AD etc mean), based on the rules of the dasa

system you are using. But this program divides Sun's longitude upto 6th

level and finds the times very accurately for you. It can be used with a

multitude of dasas. The times are accurate upto 1 minute.

Since our aim is to restore the past glory of Vedic astrology and since

we believe that fine research into Jaimini's rasi dasas is a key to it,

this program will be FREE.

You can READ MORE about it and DOWNLOAD it at

or

I hope it will be useful to serious researchers.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
