Dear Andri,

Please send me a brief write up about your activities regarding Astrology.

We at SJVC do not differentiate between the Maharishi's. We consider this a

lowly Rajasik activity. At that high level of Satwa, there cannot be any

differences. The differences stem from our own limitations in understanding

the scriptures and the various works. Maharishi Jaimini was the disciple of

Maharishi Vedavyasa, who was the son of Maharishi Parasara.

The aim of SJVC is to produce Satwil Jyotish Guru's who spread this

divine light. The teachings are free and shall continue to be so. Thus, if

you intend to become a student at SJVC and later also become a Guru, you

will have to stick to this high ideal.

As regards Guru Dakshina, this will vary from student to student and

will be more in the shape of some Karma. For example, the Guru dakshina I am

taking from Sri Yasomati Nandana Dasa is to have the books I have written

translated into Russian Language for the benefit of all peoples of Russia

and adjoining regions.

The spiritual disciplene at SJVC is very satwik due to our worship of

Sri Jagannath Mahaprabhu.
