When one is worshipping a Mahavidya, particularly Baglamukhi (in Ambike form), must one maintain a vegetarian diet? 2. Does one need to remain celibate to worship (daily japa) Baglamukhi? 3. Lastly, which mala can one use for Baglamukhi? I know that Red Coral is suggested but genuine Red Coral Malas are quite expensive. What about a Haldi Mala - though this may emphasize Jupiter more than Mars (helping Mars is my primary aim) ? Is Rudraksha Mala ok? Thank you. Guest guest
Dear Vikas and Shambaag, There are many mantras for not only her but for other deities as well. Is it just a mantra given to you by an astrologer to do sincerely to remedy a situation in your life; or are you seriously interested in doing sadhana for siddhis and other higher spiritual purposes? Sadhanas require a lot of accompanying rituals including celibacy and vegetarianism. Sarbani Rath On Behalf Of vikas Wednesday, April 01, 2009 11:37 AM Re: [Om Krishna Guru] Baglamukhi Sadhana ||HARE RAMA KRSHNA|| Sorry to jump in but As Guru visti has already pointed out pada stambhana is to be used only by a brahmchari, for others there is another mantra in mentioned in VRA " Om Hrim Bagalamukhi Sarvadustanam Vacham Mukham Sthambhaya Jihva Kilaya Kilayam Budhhi Nashaya Hrim Om Swaha " This mantra is in anusthup chhanda where as the one mentioned in Mantra Mahodadih in Viraat chhanda. Guest guest
Dear Gopal, Greetings. I may be diverting from main focus of this forum. But, I felt an urgeto reply to your mail. I read somewhere that Lalkitab remedies are highly effective and workvery well. But, I also read that these are written by Ravaneswara and highlytamasic. So, my point is that if someone is getting success does not mean thathe is doing things right. People can download gayatri mantra and recite. But, Ithink it has to be given by a competent guru to recite it. Learned people may soundnarrow minded at times. But, it is not the case. There must be hidden meaningfor all these that we may not be able to understand. Instead of questioningtheir authority, we can spend our little time in exploring things that areworth. Guest guest
Dear Sarbani Ji, Thank you for your response. I'm a very blunt person, I will be using the Bagalamukhi Mantra for career related purposes as Mars is in the 10th and lord of the 10th (Ju in 10th as well). I have zero inclination towards spirituality at the present moment. As you may know, Sanjay Ji gave me the mantra (which I shall not repeat here) for this purpose and another which I do not want to state here. Sanjay Ji did not mention anything about vegetarianism (I am mostly vegetarian) or celibacy (This will not be an option for me, but I can be pure vegetarian if need be). He only mentioned taking a bath before reciting and using coral or haldi mala. I got a little afraid after I heard all the dire warnings of doing Bagalamukhi Sadhana without the aforementioned prerequisites. So I posted on this board. If you could kindly clarify once and for all, it would be MUCH appreciated. Kind Regards , " Sarbani Rath " <sarbani wrote: > > Dear Vikas and Shambaag, > > There are many mantras for not only her but for other deities as well. Guest guest
Mantre theerthe dwije daive daivanje bheshaje guarau yadrishi bhavana yasya siddhir bhavathi tadrishi Mantra, theertha, dwija (brahmin), daiva (god), daivanja(astrologist), bheshajam(medicine), guru, all these give results and the siddhi(potency) depends on how devoted we are to each one of this when using it. It is scientifically proven that giving placebo pills, even chronic diseases are cured. So even though mantra given by Guru definitely gives results, it does not mean that downloaded from net and will not give the result. If you chant with devotion it will definitely give the desired result provided it is not used for negative means, and I dont think any tradition or paramapara or whatever is a hindrance to that, and it is not necessary also to get it directly from a Guru. What matters is your devotion to the devata of the Mantra and how dedicated you are in your chanting, baglamukhi, ashtakshari, or whatever. It is this so-called fake "brahmins" who spoiled this Hindu culture by making this untouchability to the lower castes, making rules for their own vested interests such as only brahmins (who wear the thread, and not the ones who knew brahma!!!!) can chant vedas etc. etc.. Janmana jayate shudra samskarat dwija ucchyate. First was the mother, then only the sons, shaiva, vasihnava, or whoever. I may be diverting from main focus of this forum. But, I felt an urge to reply to your mail. I read somewhere that Lalkitab remedies are highly effective and work very well. But, I also read that these are written by Ravaneswara and highly tamasic. So, my point is that if someone is getting success does not mean that he is doing things right. People can download gayatri mantra and recite. But, I think it has to be given by a competent guru to recite it. Learned people may sound narrow minded at times. But, it is not the case. There must be hidden meaning for all these that we may not be able to understand. Instead of questioning their authority, we can spend our little time in exploring things that are worth. Guest guest
   i am just trying to help people to avoid pitfalls.  having done 10 mahavidya sadhanas i know the yam niyam etc.  but i have observed that people dont know anything and just take mantra from somehwere and start on their own.  ofcourse divine mother is most loving and most forgiving.  but at the same time i find that people r mostly moving around aimlessly.  so i try to help.anyway i will not try to guide or help anyone as people r not interested in the yam-niyam-pranayam-sandhya vandan etc.   om shakti    gopal     gopal     On 4/2/09, Visti Larsen <visti wrote: हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£Dear Gopal, Namaskar. The Yamas and Niyamas are preferably given to the Sadhaka by the Guru who initiated them into the same.
