color, complexion question in Visti ji's book

Dear Gurujis,

 

Namaskar.

 

I have a question regarding finding out the complexion of the native. In visti

ji's book it is mentioned that the complexion is found from Navamsa moon.

However in the next paragraph the steps are mentioned like this

 

1. Take the lagna degree and minutes and divide the number into two.

2. Count the quotient from the lagna.

3. The resultant sign will indicate the complexion.

 

So, I am confused as how to find out the complexion. I tried googling for other

articles. But, I could not get any.

 

Can someone please help me with this?

I believe my book is more specific: Moon is for the complexion one has

compared to family members, whilst the specific calculation I gave is

to find the complexion attributed to the natives race.
