Much depends on other planetary placements,specifically Check the Moon, Sun, and also the dispositor of Mars - Saturn. Dispositors ,disposition and placement,can make or break the results. If Shani is in 6th house while Guru is in Lagna,a person luck will be ruined after marriage, while if Rahu is Atmakaraka and placed in 6th house, a person would be blessed with good health and happiness particularly in old age. So you cannot just look at the Guru in an isolated manner, but take it in the whole pattern of the chart. But I know that you know it, just my two cents.. P.S. I have been very busy lately with my work since I was absent for nearly two months.
