Dear All,

It's been more than four years that I studied different books on gemstones and got advise from different good astrologers about the gemstone. But none of them gave very good result.

As of now, some of the following theories are present for choosing gemstone.

1. Gemstone of Lagna Lord (recommended by many astrologers)

2. Gemstone of Benefics (lord of 1, 5, and 9) - Anukool

3. Gemstone of Malefics (Partikool)

4. Gemstone of MD lord

5. Gemstone of Nakshatra Lord.

However, I recently found that one gemstone worked very well for me. After wearing that I got a very good results in my career and also my income increased by more than 100% in approx. 4 months.

Well, this gem stone was not recommended to me by any astrologer (though I consulted several ones in person) and in no such book it was mentioned that I should choose this gemstone. I read approximately 8-10 books on gem stones. Also, on any of the forums, I was not advised to wear this gemstone.

Prior to this, I was advised Ruby, Yellow Sapphire and Red Coral by different astrologers. One even advised blue sapphire, that made matters worse.

So, let me tell you my birth details and then I will tell gem stone that worked for me.

D.o.B - 14th April, 1978

T.o.B - 15:31:58 PM

Place - New Delhi (INDIA)

The gemstone that worked was Zircon (Substitute of Diamond). I worn this in left hand ring finger in gold and things started working positive automatically. I didn't did any thing exceptional in my personal / work life. Now there are somethings to be noted.

1. It's not lord of trines.

3. Not lord of nakshatra

5. On the other hand, if the planet that was found in step 3 is malefic, then choose the substitute gem for that planet and wear it in the left hand.

Dear Neeraj,

I'm new to this group and would like to just point out something that appears quite obvious to me. The reason for the Zircon ring set in yellow gold working is that it is set in Gold which is the element ruled by your 10th Lord (Leo). It is not the Zircon that worked, it is the Gold that gave you results in 4 months. I'm unsure as to whether you were wearing gold on that hand/finger before hand so I may be wrong about this.

Neeraj, Unfortunately even Jyotish Gurus of SJC have made error. Particularly in my case was recommended Coral by one, Ruby by two.Both gemstones were purchased by recommended quality gemologist.This gemstone recommendation was not by internet questions but by paid services.The good thing was the price of gold soared and made good money by selling it.I still value Sanjay Rath recommendation of yellow sapphire as it works.Even Jyotish have to worship their Devata for the prediction to be true.Yasoda. Dear NeerajFor you venus is 10th Lord sitting in 9th house which is a Royal Yoga.Wearning stone of 10th Lord may have helped you grow in your career.Rest all planets seems not to be very suitable.

Debiliated mercury disposits Jupiter and Moon. -ve.Mars debliated sits in 12th house. -ve (but ok if malefic debiliated in 12th house)Saturn in lagna. -ve.Sun is at 0degree33min in aries and just out of 8th house.

Dear Neeraj Gupta,

Namaste

I am not quite skillful about this issue, but I still want to add my

opinion regarding gemstones you should wear on your right hand to

increase the effect:

YELLOW SAPPHIRE: No! Even though Guru lords your 5th bhava, it also

lords 8th bhava. You don't want to increase such effects in your

life.

RED CORALL: Good news! Mangal is badhakesh, and it is 12th bhava.

That means that bhadak is destroyed in your chart. Leave it that

way, do not strengthen your badhakesh!

RUBY: Seems like very good candidate. Surya lords lagna, exalted...

This is a very good choice, though I can not guarantee this because

Surya is in sankranti and gandanta. If this has no significance in

choosing the right gemstone, than I think you should wear this one.

Your lagna lord is weak because it is in zero degrees of Mesh, it

should be strengthened in some way.

Regarding blue sapphire I it should be ONLY on your left hand and

ONLY now when you are in Sani MD. Yet ruby could be perfectly enough

for you.

Dear Venkateh,

Kindly note that what I proposed was based on my thoughts that came to my mind (which might be incorrect). This is only based on what I thought (I tried to find the reason, why Zircon is working for me when I have not done any changes in my personal / professional life).

As I mentioned in my email that this "What that came to my mind". The purpose of including Bhava Chart was as in my natal chart, sun is in 9th house (trine - good location) whereas in Bhava Chart, it moves to 8th.

There is one thing, that I thought some time back about the planets that are in (0 to 1 degree) or (29 to 30 degrees), that I will share some other time in different email.

Also, 9th house is house of luck / fortune, so the placement of planet over there effect's one fortune (in my case venus). Venus remains in 9th house even in Bhava Chart. Now since venus is malefic for my chart, wearing its gemstone in left hand (decreasing energy) is proving good for me.

Members - Kindly note that the way I suggested for choosing gemstone may only be used for testing as of now (I may be totally wrong), as the same is not mentioned in any classic and I have not read any where about this method. As it is working very good for me, so I just shared my example. If it works for other's as well, then there may come some other method of choosing gemstone.

Just to update you that I have tried all the following three gem stones in past without any positive effect.

1. Ruby - Astrologers / Books recommend this stone as it is Lagna Lord, placed in 9th house and exalted. I know that it is gandanta, tried this but with no positive results.

2. Yellow Sapphire.

3. Red Coral.

Dear Maja,

I started wearing zircon in January end. It was not intentional. There was one ring of zircon in our house and while going to one marriage party, I worn that. After that I forgot to take it off.

Feb till date - My Income and position is almost doubled.

There after like my increment was due in April, I got that in feb itself automatically. Also, career wise, I got good opportunity without any effort from my side. I became senior most member in my team after my manager.

After that I got a very good offer in a good company with almost double the salary. I was surprised if I am getting this due to the ring. So, I took off that gemstone for one day and the offer that I got from the good company seemed to be taken back.

I immediately worn it next day and in next 10-15 days, that offer came back again. So, I just gave a thought that why Zircon is working for me. With all the small knowledge that I have gained in astrology in last three years, I thought on the points mentioned in my first email. So, I thought that if it is working for me, it might work for other members / people and they can also benefit. Hence, I shared my thoughts on the group.

Now, with my salary increased, I might be trying with diamond in next couple of months and see what will happen.

Dear RKM,

Thanks for your comments. But there is lot more. Saturn in lagna is at 00'12, which in bhava moves to 12th, so there will be combination of Sa-Ma in 12th and also Rahu in 2nd house. So, papa kartari on lagna.

Also, sun is gandanta and wearing ruby did not helped.

As Zircon worked for me, I would like to experiment with Diamond in coming future.

The reason for the Zircon ring set in yellow gold working is that it is set in Gold which is the element ruled by your 10th Lord (Leo). It is not the Zircon that worked, it is the Gold that gave you results in 4 months. I'm unsure as to whether you were wearing gold on that hand/finger before hand so I may be wrong about this. Namaste dear List member (Rajeev maybe?),

Just to remind you, Neeraj was wearing zircon on his left hand, so

that means he was weakening his lord of 10th bhava in 9th... And

additionally he was weakening lord of 3rd bhava (which is considered

as inauspicious. Yet, Sukra is also maheshvara... but I don't think

that this latter one could be of any significance).

I really dislike complicating simple things, but this time I can not

help myself. Neraaj's Arudha Lagna is in Dhanu, yet Mithuna is

stronger Rasi due to position of Chandra and Guru in it. That means

that we could treat Mithuna Rasi as his Arudha Lagna. 12th lord

there from is Sukra. 12th bhava from Arudha Lagna signifies

expenses. He was weakening this one also. These are just thoughts...

Your insights are great, incidently I was struck at your mention of " Yet, Sukra is also maheshvara... but I don't think that this latter one could be of any significance).I could not understand How sukra is maheshwar.J hora gives Ketu as maheswar planet . that also is appears incorrect.

My learning is Ak is Merc.Merc is with ketu so count to 8 th would be reverse. Counting eight from AK merc leads to Leo.

The sign lord is SUN.

Now sun is in exaltation in aries so SUN becomes Brahma Planet.

In such an eventulaty we have to count 8th and 12 th from Sun the maheswar.

Eight lords are mars and keu ad 12 th lord is Jup.

We apply parashar strength to determne strenth.Ketu and jup are both with one planet Jup is in dual sign so as per naisargic bal Jup is Maheswar.

You can check workng referring to 2.1.47 sutra.

Now on thread question of wearing gem is discussed.

Maheswar planet is associated wih knowledge .So Gem stone of planet that is maheswar if put in left should diminish knowledge.If worn in Right hand should enhance learning of vedic shahstra.

Perhaps native has tried many gems.

By the way, influence of wearing planet related to maheshwar is not taught in parampara or in scriptures,i could access, so this last suggestion may be taken just a logical aplication.
