Good thing about the chart is Jupiter AK in own sign and vergotama. 2nd marriage for the boy looks like a mixed bag. 2L (for 2nd marriage) Moon is exalted but conjoined Saturn and aspected by Mars. Saturn and Mars also have rashi drishti on 2H. So relationship could have its ups and downs! Is your friend older to him? Saturn is also lord of 2nd UL but then who knows which UL is this! 2L in D9 is strong Jupiter, benefic rashi drishti and no malefic graham drishti. There is however a concern related to Ketu in 3H. Now that you mentioned I checked my notes and found that ‘Sun within half degree (or 3 to 4 hrs) from rashi end or beginning shows sankranti dosha’. I thought this case is outside the limit. You time sankranti by establishing which day the Sun changed signs. That entire day is then under Sankranti Dosha and the planet lording that day is then the cause of problems/suffering in the natives life. This is from Parasara. Do we go by Sunrise? Is the effect of dosha greater if Sun is too close 00 and lesser if farther? In one of the lectures Sanjayji explains ‘shankara’ mantra. I am not sure if I got it right. Can you please elaborate on what mantra to recite? The dosha is greater on the Suns own lordship if the Sun is closer to the 0 degree range. The best Mantra to recite is already given by Parasara. Mantra is the only way to escape trouble, that is right. But another person can chant mantra for someone else. Mother can chant mantra for health of her child. Other people can chant Mritunjaya for someone, for example. But in that case, one who chants mantra also must chant mantra for own protection. I shall rather let someone more informed about this issue to add detailed explanation. This is just basic level, just a point. Every day brings something new (don't be so pessimistic, come on). Your chart says that you don't have a luxury to nourish anger, bitterness, frustration or urge to revenge in your heart. Remember that Sani/Mangal in your 9th bhava? Don't go there. When you give, you should give without expectation to get anything in return (or at least this is towards what we should all strive for. No one is perfect). Maybe you were mentioning your own chart without any particular reason for too many times, so when you really needed help, no one took you seriously. Or it was not a " cosmic " moment for you to find out that information. Maybe you were supposed to face it all by yourself to learn something important from that.
