Guest guest
One more thing - I think Malaysia was in GMT +07:30 in 1980 I was told that Malaysia's GMT was changed in 1981 to +8:00 to counter differences with the east of Malaysia (i was born in the west), please double check this! Which means my lagna falls in the first house as opposed to the 12th, atleast this is what few readings have confirmed, GMT was changed by Malaysia's Prime Minister in late 1982. Guest guest
namaste guru and all friends, may i offer some insight in reference to the GMT issue of Malaysia. As per my masters, Malaysia has gone through an number of GMT changes namely1. 1/7/1905 -31/12/1932 7.00hrs2. 1/1/1933 -31/08/1941 7.20hrs3. 1/9/1941 -15/02/1942 7.30hrs4. 16/2/1942 -14/09/1945 9.00hrs5. 15/9/1945 -31/12/1981 7.30hrs6. 1/1/1982 --------- 8.00hrsBut my main concern is that the latitude for the 8.00hrs falls way past Sabah and Sarawak in the east. And the city of Kuala Lumpur or West Malaysia itself is only 6hrs and 47mins from Greenwich. My question to any honourable Guru please highlight to us should we calculate the Lagna as per actual lats and longs using 6hrs 47mins or stick to the 8.oohrs fixed by the Malaysia. This will certainly cause a difference in my lagna as it is cuspal. i am from west Malaysia. Many of us from Malaysia are using jhora but this is one area that baffles us.Would greatly appreciate it if Masters solve the doubts for us.I thank you humbly,Your humble student, devamanohari----- Original Message ----pilsnerandco <pilsnerandco Sent: Sunday, April 6, 2008 9:45:34 AM[Om Krishna Guru] GMT ISSUE with my birth details. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Devamanohari, Namaste There shouldn't be any quandary over GMT issues. If you were born in 1933, then adjust it to TZ 7E00 and if you were born in 1982, then use the Time Zone (TZ) of 8E00, being one born in Sarawak myself. The capital was switched from town center to across the river and its long/lat is manually adjusted by me. With Google Earth nowadays, you can even precisely adjust in JHora (best software and user friendly), the longitude and latitude to precisely where you reside, which incidentally, is exactly what I do for prsna settings. love, Swee > namaste guru and all friends, > > may i offer some insight in reference to the GMT issue of Malaysia.
