Guest guest
Dear Vrinda, It is like telling all doctors are same, there are some experts in certain fields and some in some other field so are these medicine (remedies) from different lords of the planets. Even though your question is right and appropriate why to worship different devatas when all these devatas are sprouts from the source. See there 33 devatas (or divas, light) which rules your body too, so some diva might be bright and luminous, and some might be dark which will be troubling you in life so you need to illuminate those divas, so that leads to worship certain devas to illuminate. I hope this helps in answering. Learned astrologers can put their light on this matter. Regards Anand On Nov 28, 2007 9:14 PM, vrindakrish <vrindakrishnak wrote: Dear members,I have a doubt to ask. Why do we have to worship diferent Deities for affliction of different planets. Why can't we worship our own Ishtadevatha? All Gods are one, isn't it? There is nothing like one God is more powerful than the other. Then why specific Gods for specific purposes? Can anybody please clear my doubt? Thanks,Vrinda. -- ThanksAnand Srivatsa
Guest guest
Dear Anand Ji, I understood the " diva " theory. But still I can't help feeling that if one is wholeheartedly devoted to one God, then praying to that God only will relieve all the troubles. Praying to specific Gods must be for those who don't have that much devotion. Thank you so much for clarifying my doubt. Guest guest
||Namah Shivaya|| Dear Vrinda, You are right, devotion is an absolute given, towards bhakti. If you do only pray to one form, without any material benfit in mind, you will find the path you are looking for . Sri Krishna in Gita says only to worship Him as Aum and not in any other form or deity. He says the devtas themselves have gunas, and we must transcend the gunas, so only pray AUM. Just my thoughts, hope this helps. Best sharat - vrindakrish Thursday, November 29, 2007 2:48 PM Re: [Om Krishna Guru] Deity for worship Dear Anand Ji,I understood the "diva" theory. Guest guest
Dear Sharat Ji, Thank you so much for the reply. It was just that I was confused about which God to worship. Whom you feel like worshipping is not your Ishtadevatha by horoscope, and for each afflicted planet you have to worship different Gods and finally you won't get the feeling of Bhakti. I hope I will be able to have Bhakti. Thanks again. Regards, Vrinda. , " Sharat " <gidoc wrote: > > ||Namah Shivaya|| > Dear Vrinda, > You are right, devotion is an absolute given, towards bhakti.
