Remedial Measures for Happy Married  Life. Lal Kitab suggests certain remedial measures to propitiate the 9 planets. The remedial measures are to be performed at the time of marriage itself, as Hindu mythology mentions the presence of gods, devatas and lords of planets during the wedding ceremony. It is also believed that such divine presence would start yielding faster results which a native could enjoy throughout his / her life. The measures suggested below pertains to the bride and she should keep one of the two pieces of various metals, as mentioned below, with herself and the other piece to be put in the river. The metals to be used here vary according to the affliction of planets. However, the method to be followed remains the same. The important point is that metals should be of equal weight. For afflicted Jupiter, two square pieces of pure gold are required. If the original one with the bride is lost, she can keep another one. However from the second-time onwards, she need not put the other piece in the river. For afflicted Sun, two pieces of copper, to be taken. For afflicted Moon, two Pearls are required. If real pearls are not available, then rice, silver or water equal to the weight of the groom is to be kept in the house for ever. For afflicted Venus, two white Pearls are required. For afflicted Mars, two pure non-glittering red stones are required. For afflicted Mercury, two sea-shells would be required. For afflicted Saturn, two square pieces of stainless steel is required. Or else black salt or black surma (mixture used for eyes after grinding) to be taken. For afflicted Rahu, either the metals prescribed for Moon could be taken or two square pieces of pure Silver could also be considered. Bridegrooms are however cautioned not to accept Neelam (Blue Sapphire) from his In-laws. For afflicted Ketu, metals suggested for Jupiter would apply. Besides that, the following also could be followed. For a native who has Venus in the 6th house, the in-laws of the bride-groom should give a pure gold hair clip to their daughter to be worn by her daily. If Venus is situated in the 4th house of the native, or the enemy planets of Venus, Sun, Moon or Rahu is situated in the 2nd or 7th house or if Rahu alone is posited in the 1st, 7th or 5th or in combination with any other planet, then the native should accept a piece or pure silver from his in-laws and keep that with him forever. If Ketu is posited in the 8th house, the native should donate black and white pure woolen blanket in a religious place, soon after the marriage. The native should feed 100 dogs in day time, soon after the marriage, if Moon is posited in the 6th house which suggests that the native is suffering from pitru dosha. If Mercury is in the 12th house, native would require two seamless/pointless stainless-steel finger rings, one to be worn at the time of marriage and the other to be put in the river. The above remedies for marital doshas has been proved very effective from the author’s personal experience.
