Astrological Trends: September 2006

 

Sifting through the Sieve

The solar month of September brings many things, issues and areas up to focus

upon. It may feel as if you are sifting and straining out muck to gain clarity

and a feeling of wellbeing. It is important to take your time and meticulously

fine tune any areas that are not functioning at optimal levels.

There are two Eclipses in the astrological signs of Virgo/Pisces and a powerful

T-Square configuration, which involves the trinity of Jupiter/Saturn/Neptune

combination. Lunar Eclipse highlights the emotions, subconscious and emotional

energy body. Helping us to address things that we sweep under the sofa or push

into the dark closet. Some things we are on autopilot about, habits, mannerisms,

behaviors, and facial expressions.

This Lunar Eclipse is close to Uranus known as the planet of awakening. Do look

for sudden upheavals or surges of emotions to push their way out from that deep

dark place or even something to shake you up from autopilot into conscious mode

of operation. There may be new insights, revelations and visions that unfold

from any shake-ups. T-square in fixed signs (which this one is) can be stressful

and pushy. You may ask yourself where you feel lack of power to make your dreams

into reality. What shadows or fears control you, and keep you from making your

spiritual ideals real? Are you biting off more than you can chew or promise self

or others? What types painful tapes are you replaying so that it keeps you numb

rather than open hearted and compassionate?

There may be a fog-like confusing mist that surrounds your awareness. Ask for

inner guidance and clarity. The Jupiter/Saturn/Neptune combination will magnify

the areas where you are learning lessons and healing or where you are testing

out your faith and knowledge, putting it into application to extract wisdom and

see if your beliefs are of value now.

Sept. 3rd:

Mercury in Virgo 'opposes' Uranus in Pisces retrograde at 12 degrees.

Sudden upheavals and cross wires in communications or messages possible today.

There is an opportunity to make loving/compassionate choices in communications

and mental attitudes by using your willpower to align to the original clear

intention. Mental energy may be short, irritable or agitated. It is suggested to

pause, take a deep breath and think before you speak instead of making harsh

judgments or blaming. Remember the conflict with the person, situation or event

is reflecting something to you for awareness. Step back and let go of the power

struggle of right or wrong, open yourself to a new perspective. Take the

Mercury/Uranus symbolism to help you open mind locks, creative brainstorming and

stir new possibilities within your awareness and mind.

~ Mercury/Jupiter combination suggests a dose of optimism and greater

self-expression is possible if you take a chance.

 

Sept. 4th:

Pluto in Sagittarius at 24 degrees shifts into Forward Motion

Pluto's been traveling retrograde (more subjective realms) since March 2006 and

it turns into forward or direct motion today. We would have been sensing this

powerful transformation for the last week or so. If you have been keeping up

with the recent demotion of Pluto, you may see the thread connecting things

symbolically. It may take up to approximately one and half to two months for

Pluto to pick up momentum. We are invited to probe the mysteries of life, death,

rebirth and the universe with Pluto. We also may ask ourselves if we are ready

to face addictions, things or issues that disempowered us in any way on any

level or multiple levels. Themes such as empowerment, transformation, new

boundaries, and regeneration are all up for you to apply and integrate on a new

level. There may be a slight intensity, disorientation or even mucky energy that

arises as this shift happens from an ending of one phase to a beginning of a new

one.

 

Sept. 5th :

Sun in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces retrograde at 13 degrees

Chaos precedes a new order. Solar light brings attention towards a radical new

idea, style, approach or creative expression. If something shakes you up or

comes in conflict, look to see what new liberating changes you can make. What

are you awakening to within yourself to expand your awareness? Revolutionary

energy pushes you to let go of things that keep your authentic Soul Self bound

up in past memories. Look for breakthroughs from old patterns, resisting will

only bring a greater disruption.

~Venus moves into Virgo

Venus in Virgo suggests relationships focus on improvement, discernment,

wellbeing, healing, being practical, a grounded approach and being efficient in

your finances or creative energy. Take time to re-evaluate the spiritual,

mental, emotional and physical levels within your relationships. Are they

improving and functioning in harmony? Does your way of interacting need

improving? Where are you off balance or overly critical in a relationship (self

or others)?

 

Sept. 7th:

Full Moon in Pisces at 15 degrees and Lunar Eclipse

Full moons represents high tides in the emotions and emotional energy body. This

is a beautiful time to pour out and release turbulent emotions in favor of

bringing greater inner peace. Focus on spiritual qualities such as:

interconnectedness of all life, loving kindness, forgiveness, compassion,

serenity, bliss, universal oneness and love. Then ask yourself how you can bring

this into your daily life, to be a practical mystic?

This lunar eclipse has a connection to Uranus, which may stimulate acceleration

and prompt huge for letting go and surrendering to Divine Will. The theme

surrounding the new moon is about Compassion that sets radical changes into

motion. When you choose to forgive, accept and practice loving kindness (towards

self and others) seeing that it sets " you " free to be on your course of healing

and growth. You get the opportunity to practice making your spiritual ideals

real. And you are the catalyst for far reaching changes within your life and the

lives of others.

 

Sept. 8th:

Mars moves into Libra

Desires, drive and energy gets poured into harmonizing relationships and looking

for the greater beauty in all that set out to do. Mars in Libra suggests we take

the time to refine our actions, making loving choices and to make sure we put

ourselves in someone's shoes before we make a decision or set a judgment. Look

to see where you can create a new balance with your motives, desires and

actions. Are you able to compromise and negotiate in relationships? Is there an

equal balance in action and being relationships?

 

Sept. 9th:

Mercury in Virgo 'squares' Pluto in Sagittarius at 24 degrees

Patience and deep breathing go a long way today. Tension mounts or pushes you to

make a decision regarding; to purge or transform old ideas; concepts, mental

attitudes and long standing beliefs that do not serve your highest good. Examine

closely in the mental arena what needs transforming and where you are still in

denial about change or improving. Remember that words have power, choose to use

communication to empower rather than cutting down or criticizing self or

another. This symbolism suggests great energy to fine-tune your logic thinking

and mental energy body.

 

Sept 12th:

Mercury moves into Libra

Communication style shifts into creating beauty, refinement, harmony, peace,

loving-kindness and listening to others perspectives. You are able to practice

listening to others ideas or thoughts as well as putting yourself in their shoes

before speaking. Speak to others, as you would like to be spoken to. Mercury in

Libra symbolism suggests we learn to practice the balance of the art of

communication; Listening as well as Speaking and allowing for others to have

their perspectives. There is also a greater urge with this placement to connect

and have greater social exchanges with others.

 

Sept. 15th:

Mercury in Libra 'conjuncts' Mars in Libra 5 degrees

Peace is not merely a concept, but rather, it is a state of Consciousness. Look

for harmony, beauty and balance between your thoughts and actions. Off balance

perceptions or thinking can agitate as well as influence your actions. Find the

solution that offers a peaceful way. Remember that it is good to think of

others, but if you get stuck in " people pleasing " you will not get far, nor does

peace at all costs. Great day to evaluate where you could find a new balance in

your thinking, mental attitudes, ideas, actions, desires, goals and energy

levels.

 

Sept. 16th:

Venus in Virgo 'opposing' Uranus in Pisces retrograde at 12 degrees

There is a tone of unpredictability in the air within relationships and

interactions of all kinds. Things may not happen as you expect them to, so to

struggle is to exhaust yourself. Be as open and flexible as possible. Look for

the sudden or unusual insights and feelings that arise. Find the balance between

spiritual and practical, or dreams and reality. It does not have to be either

or. Use your discernment and problem solving skills to find a win/win resolution

to any conflicts or oppositions.

Discern where the false ego keeps you trapped in limited beliefs,

self-sabotaging habits or pessimistic attitudes. If you see yourself being

overly analytical or critical to the point that it is depleting your faith,

you've gone to the edge. Bring your awareness to the areas of frustration this

is where you were unconscious of the pattern or issue and now have a choice to

change. Use the potential healing energy within this symbolism to purge, heal

and rebirth any aspects of self that are keeping you trapped or boxed in.

Powerful transformation is possible with care and effort.

 

Sept. 22nd:

Second Virgo New Moon plus Solar Eclipse (29 Virgo)

Super-energized New Moon and this is the second Virgo New Moon. Here is a clean

slate to set brand new intentions around the themes of health, healing, hygiene,

wellness on all levels, work, to be of service, creating positive habits

(organization, precision, refining skills, fine tuning, analyzing, problem

solving etc.), and employee-employer interactions. This eclipse is a cuspy one,

it happens at the last degree of Virgo and beginning of Libra. Look at this as a

Gateway for things to complete or finalize in Virgo (29 deg) and the knock on

the Gateway Door for new to begin opening up in Libra. You may find yourself

being meticulous, detail oriented and cleaning like nobody's business to finish

up the last itsy bitsy things before you step onto a new plateau.

Those with any natal planets at 29 deg. Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius or Gemini

will be activated most. Look to see where 29 deg. Virgo lands in your Natal

Chart. This is where the " new " beginnings with this Solar Eclipse gets

energized.

 

Sept. 23rd:

Fall Equinox, Sun enters Libra

A turning of the tides, where the Yang energy recedes and Yin becomes stronger

preparing those in the northern hemisphere of hibernation of the Winter season.

The Solar lights shifts awareness towards the sign of Libra. Libra is an air

element and cardinal mode of energy. This sign symbolizes appropriate Relations;

human, plant, animal, mineral, planet, stars, angels, God/Source, Higher Self,

Soul and many others. Look to work with themes regarding: balance, harmony,

grace, beauty, equality, partnership, love, art, creative expression and peace.

~ Mercury in Libra trines Neptune in Aquarius retrograde 17 degrees

Feels like breath of fresh air on a mountaintop. Reach for the Grace that is in

the air, its magical. Notice how some things seem to flow together, inspiration

is abundant. Share how you feel, tell someone how much you love him or her

exactly as they are.

 

Sept. 24th:

Jupiter in Scorpio 'squares' Neptune in Aquarius retrograde at 17 degrees

Be extra cautious with this energy, as there may be super-sized disorientation,

spacey feeling, confusion or free floating anxiety hovering about. Look for

extra- inflated egos, ideas or ideals. Take your time to examine things so you

do not miss any important details. Find your way out of fixed ideas, emotions

and beliefs; this is the box that keeps your Spirit contained. Sleep patterns

and dreams may contain an added dose of intensity, a lot of symbolism or unusual

rhythms. Jupiter's symbolism reminds us to tap into the inner Joy during times

of difficulty. This aspect between Jupiter/Neptune connected earlier this year

around January into March 2006.

 

Sept. 25th:

Venus in Virgo 'squares' Pluto in Sagittarius at 24 degrees

Face your fears about relationships and any self-sabotaging behaviors or habits.

Are you overly critical? Is there a toxic relationship in your life? Where are

you controlling or repressing your emotions? The inner tension tells you exactly

where you are feeling " in the box " or limited by a past fear, pain or addiction.

This is a powerful dynamic between Venus/Pluto for potential towards healing,

transformation and a rebirth. Let go and surrender. Have courage to face your

addictions or compulsions so you can free yourself.

 

Sept. 30th:

Venus moves into Libra

Venus in Libra symbolizes grace, beauty, harmony and balance within all kinds of

Relationships. How we love, the giving and receiving and what we find beautiful.

We are invited to learn more about refining ourselves, moving from a

personality-based love into a more universal love. We have a chance to learn

about the " We Consciousness " rather than the " I Consciousness. "
