New Moons are the right time for bringing in the new. Full Moons are the right

time for celebrating and reveling in successes.

Each month the New and Full Moons fall in opposing astrological signs, which

rule different qualities and aspects of life. You can use these times to work on

specific issues, hopes, desires and goals that correspond to the astrological

energies of the Moon phase. Connecting with the monthly rhythms of our own

internal biological and emotional/intuitive clocks can greatly increase our

ability to fulfill dreams and goals.

Here is some interesting information on the " why and how " of planetary

influence.

Throughout the month, the movement of the Earth around the Sun and the Moon

around the Earth, through the laws of motion and gravitation, influence the

tidal ebb and flow in the oceans upon our planet. Similarly, these same laws

attract the gases of the atmosphere producing tides in the upper atmosphere,

thus giving rise to detectable changes in the Earth's magnetic fields. All these

environmental changes can act as external synchronizers of the internal

biological clocks that exist within all species of life upon Earth. Many life

forms including plants, birds, bees, ocean algaes and fish, have been shown

scientifically to exhibit reproductive, migration and navigational behaviors

which correspond to the phase transitions of the Moon and the changing daylight

patterns of the Sun.

So why not humans?

Our physical bodies are about 70% water. From Chinese Acupuncture we know that

humans have a magnetic/energetic body. Both of these " bodies " are acted upon by

the same planetary laws of motion and gravitation that our Earth experiences.

Humans have highly developed mental and emotional bodies, which I contend, are

by extension, also influenced by the motion of the planets, especially that of

the Moon, the ruler of our intuitive capabilities, our emotions and needs.
