Guest guest
Dear all, Often the naadi mentions the place where we lived in the past birth. Has anybody tried to go to this place afterwards and experience it already having this knowledge? I mean, there must be a reason why the Rishi decided to tell us not only about the events, but about the place as well. And another question: do you think the past life described in the naadi is indeed the very last birth we had, or is it that life that has the biggest karmic impact on our present life, even if it happened many centuries ago and there were many births in between? Guest guest
We have had so many births and the purpose of present life may be the desire of our previous life which we have crossed. Hence, the respective rishis talk about our past life to co-relate with present life based on Karmic debts. It is not necessarily that it is just previous life...there could be life in between which may have been short lived. For ex- the one who kill Chicken and eat the flesh, may be born as Chicken and the Chicken which was killed in earlier birth may take human form and kill this chicken to nullify the karmas !!!! Because the Law of Karma says that FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS AN EQUAL & OPPOSITE REACTION. Hence, past births may not necessary mean that we would have taken Human forms depending on the Karma [Punya (Good)and Papam (Evil)] This is to indicate that even our current life is short, hence be ready for next birth. Also, to indicate that based on good activities in this birth you would be born as Human in next birth !!! My Guru Agasthya says that " Nadanthathe Nadappathellaam Nadanthu kondirukkinrana (in Tamil) " which mean that Whatever has been happening to you is already happened ! I invite all members to share more on this topic ! It will be a good Satsang. Guest guest
Dear Arunachala, It is so nice of you to post this. Being born human is a great gift. So many attractions to our five senses end up we giving away our precious life to satisfying the five senses. One needs to try hard and cultivate a habit of sitting in meditation reflecting over this. The human body is a vehicle, and therefore it has to be housed in healthy condition to use it well. To that extent taking care of physical well being Kshema of oneself and one's dependants is proper duty/dharma. But beyong that it is Lust. But Maya clouds one's discretion and it is so hard to fight back. So back to your argument. Being born human is almost divine. One must reflect how to use this. Meditate for it helps you even to get the right frame for your daily life. Latest research reported in New Scientist says meditation activates pineal gland in the brain. And that they say is probably the experience of the 'spirit' Regards, Seshadri --- On Fri, 7/25/08, ARUNACHALA <sriagasthiar wrote: ARUNACHALA <sriagasthiarRe: past life Date: Friday, July 25, 2008, 1:35 PM We have had so many births and the purpose of present life may be the desire of our previous life which we have crossed. Guest guest
I don't think naadi is specific in telling place of last birth: in mine and my sister's naadi also in my late father's naadi readings, it said the country and community and family type of last birth and not the village or town of last birth. So I don't think it is possible to go there. For me it told I was born in Kalinga, I went to orrisa, butcoun't find the place of last birth. Also my sister visited several times Maharastra were she was told last born, she also not able to find out the place as that was not told in the naadi. So, it is not possible.Dhinakar From: kseshadri_2000Date: Fri, 25 Jul 2008 23:59:51 -0700Re: past life Dear Arunachala, It is so nice of you to post this. Being born human is a great gift. Guest guest
I can't resist thinking of fews things as I read this mail thread. 1) Why is karma attached to jeeva, to start with? 2) When we say Karma gets nullified, who was holding all the bad karma when none of us humans were around? 3) Previous births were talked about, but do we have a proof at all as to what is the time difference between two consecutive births? 4) What is god's fun in creating a jeeva and making him realize about his creator? Thanks, Dhinakar Rajaram <dhinakarrajaram Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 10:58:18 PMRE: past life I don't think naadi is specific in telling place of last birth: in mine and my sister's naadi also in my late father's naadi readings, it said the country and community and family type of last birth and not the village or town of last birth.
