RE-INVENTING NAADI ASTROLOGY

As they say, in keeping up with times, all professions are upgraded with the view to reflect the present time. But divine sciences like astrology, naadi sashthra cannot be modified, altered or re-invented just to suit the changing times. In other words, one has to be gifted by the divine to read horoscopes or naadi leaves in their original being (vaakya). Possibly, about at least half a century ago there were genuine readers who were not materialistic but dispensed their services to sincere seekers. But over the passage of time, when people begin to deviate from the truth such divine sciences have been tailored to meet the readers' needs themselves than the ones seeking them. How are we to argue because we accept whatever is said by them as the gospel truth? Remember the mysterious gypsy folks (kudu kudu kaaran) who go around in the night when everyone has retired to announce their predictions at selected doorsteps? Those days whatever is predicted by them

turned out to be true because they were gifted with 'vaakya' (truth). But over the years this form of prediction too had gone down the drain because of untruths by the gypsies since we are in the world of deceit where everyone from all walks of life is being too materialistic. The same is true for all predictive sciences. As what I have read from old stories (early 20th century) not all will have the benefit of reading their naadis. Only certain people who are earnestly seeking the truth of their existence will have their naadis read at the right place and right time. It will also be stated in the leaves that on such-such a date and time the so-called person will COME to have his naadi read. Note that the word 'COME' is specifically mentioned because that is what naadi joshyam is all about. Under the circumstances, how is it possible to have one's naadi to be

predicted over the internet? Besides, after getting the thumb impression and perhaps with just about two or three basic questions (excluding date and time of birth) the past age readers were able to get the correct naadi.[ It is just the opposite for predictions over the net - just glance at the questionniare form! ] Maybe they were also guided by the divine. But nowadays, it might take more than even an hour for the reader to question the seeker and 'locate' the respective naadi. By asking too many questions itself will give the impression to an experienced seeker that the former is trying his best to extract additional inputs. Of course, he will argue that he is trying his best to locate the exact or appropriate naadi lest he reads the wrong naadi. But a good reader should be above to get it just by the thumbprint and not by asking too many questions. Another question which comes to my mind is that why all of a sudden during the last two

decades or so did naadi centres suddenly mushroom all over India and some even have the audacity to open branches overseas! And that too by youngsters or in their early thirties only. Is it because there is a sudden interest amongst people to have their past lives read and the future predicted by this mysterious leave? Have they lost confidence in the ordinary astrologers? How is it possible for a naadi reader who may possible carry just a bagful of naadi leaves, travel overseas and announce to all and sundry with confidence that even President George Bush's naadi is in it? Even in India, even after trying their level best and unable to locate the right naadi, they rarely send you empty-handed. They will often refer you to their peers nearby citing that the said naadi may be possibly found there. But in their minds they often hope that their colleagues can extract information better than them and share the revenue later. Assuming that one does not get his naadi in a particular centre then how does he go to a different place? Through his own searching? Or given a referral by the original reader? If that is so, do they have an established network all over India? My friends who went back to the same naadi reader after a few years to question as to why the predictions never came true had this to say - the naadi readers absolve themselves of any prediction. They claim that whatever said was as per what was written in the leave and they are not astrologers but just readers only. See their escape route? Now this brings us to a similar topic - Jeeva Naadi. This naadi is unlike the conventional naadi, it seems. If you are fated to read it it will 'open up' when the reader reads it. Upon reading and paying the fees, the wordings disapapear! Now, that is another serious branch to debate. It appears that the naadi readers, knowing fully well that we will not revert to Consumer Tribunals or legal action, exploit us. One thing is for sure - there is such a thing as Naadi Joshyam. Numerous publications on this subject (the very, very old ones) will testify it. But as I read sometimes ago in the age of kaliyug many people claiming to practise divine sciences such as astrology, naadi joshyam etc. will bound to appear from time to time looking for unsuspecting preys like us. So, we have to be extra careful when dealing with such charlatans. May be, if our prayers are sincere we will be given the opportunity to have our naadi read by the right person and right time. Deep down in me I have the confidence that I will indeed meet up with a genuine reader, possible very old and located in the hinterlands of India, who may help me in my quest for the truth. Perhaps all those readings I took from the various charlatans would have

exhausted my past life karma (cheating others, what else!) and an equation arrived at by then to qualify my position to look for a genuine reader. And what if the prospective reader charges triple the amount charged by others?!! Thanks, Rajaries <waryaries wrote: VBD , I have met many people who have had experiences like Naadi readings , If all use the same method why different readers ask for different inputs. 1.

Some measure shadows to predict - One in Bombay . 2. For some just the thumb impression 3. Pune ,they use combination of Thumb & DOB 4. In kerala there WAS a reader who claimed to have studied Brihut Samhita and and he predicts the future based on " Kavadi " or arranging sea shells on a square , and tells the future as a question and answer session ( No questions to the customer , he asks the question himself and he answers them ) I am believer of Jyothish and trying to understand Naadi , not a skeptic, or some one who is trying to play smart A## Thanks , Aries vbdeshmukh <deshmukhv (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Dear Aries,Cold reading is

absolutely out of question as I havebeen visiting Naadi Readers for more than 20 yearswith a critical stance looking for any possible flawsor trickery in the proceedings of the Naadi session. No way if you are with a genuine Naadi Reader. One of the objectives of this Forum should thereforefocus on why the past events upto the point of Naadireading are stunningly correct while the accuracy offuture predictions vary from 0-99% for differentindividuals. It is indeed a mystery defying solution. So far as astrological predictions are concerened ( Ihave been studying astrology for the past two decades)I can only say that your time for getting correctpredictions/ guidance must come and thereafter it is simply immaterial whom you approach - a highly reputedastrologer, a Naadi Reader or a roadside fortuneteller with his parrot and all !BOL !!VBDWishing you better luck in Naadi
