Guest guest
Dear Shri VB Deshmukhji and especially to Vishwanath Gopiji and many other inquisitive Naadi lovers, Thanks for sending long and thought provoking comments on my saying that present Ayers and Iyangers are not coming forward to study the Tamil Naadi literature. Regarding your views on antiquity of Vedas vis a vis Naadi literature: It is really surprising to note that there is not a single reference of Naadi writeup in any recognised study up til now. Much referred patronage provided by Sarfoji Raje Bhosale, of Tanjavour Dynasty. The huge volumes of catalogs of all palm leaf scrolls and packets stored in Sarasvati Mahal library etc do not make a single mention about Naadi palm leaves being rewritten by the order of the then, Maratha king Sarfoji Raje Bhosale. This I quote after I was given chance to read some of the catalogs of the library as a special guest of present hair of kingship. Yet if one visits the Vaideeswaran Temple there two statues Of Raja Sarfoji, King and Prime Minister of Tanjavour, located on the way to water tank where one is expected to carry jougary and salt and pepper seeds. That these leaves are presently available, is a fact. If their mention is avoided in any scriptures, there may some compelling reason which needs to be uncovered. The only way left to present seekers is to enquire from the Naadi Maharishis themselves. The antiquity and the history of this art of predictions could be told, if at all, will be by the authors themselves. In Hamumath Dasan's Jeeva Naadi, if one goes to seek the answers with deep devotion and reverence, with folded hands then there may be some ray of hope. Is there any one ready to undertake this task as his own mission?Could Shri Vishwanath Gopi take lead in this venture ? To take appointments from Hhanumath Dasan and many other Jeeva Naadi Holders? I am ready forever to accompany such journeies at my cost to any place,at any time. In last para of your mail, I quote ," However, the beauty and the strength of Hindu Dharma is in its openness to take on diverse views in its stride for ultimate realisation. Its inbuilt spirit of enquiry makes it the most scientific and dynamic Dharma of the world. So, let us not worry too much about Iyers and Iyengars and lets go ahead with our "study" according to Vedic dictum - Let knowledge come from all directions.'This is what I meant in my views to high cast Brahmins, 'Leave aside past, at least now let them come forward.' Any how with or without them the study will march ahead. Wing Commander Shashikant Oak. Pune, India. Chat on a cool, new interface. No download required.
