Guest guest
Monday, 29 May 2006, 14:11 GMT 15:11 UK Four die in Serbia factory blast Four people have been killed by an explosion at a chemical plant near the Serbian capital Belgrade. At least three others were hurt in the blast at Prva Iskra factory at Baric. The interior ministry says the plant produces explosives as well as toxic hydrofluoric acid which is used in household detergents. Police sealed off the area as a fire followed the huge explosion, which was reportedly heard in Belgrade, 25km (16 miles) away. Police said the explosion occurred in the part of the factory that produces explosives, not toxic chemicals. Army, police, fire and ambulance services were sent to the scene. Serbian television reports that the local school and nearby shops have been closed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/5027456.stm There was a severe explosion at Prva Iskra Namenska, around 28 kilometres away from Belgrade, today at around 1.25 pm, which also caused a big quake in the surroundings. Firemen, emergency squads and the police immediately came on the spot. http://www.srbija.sr.gov.yu/vesti/vest.php?id=23861 Dasha: Mo/Ve/Me/Me/Ke satva Jorge Angelino Rua da Sociedade Filarmónica Perpétua Azeitonense, 29 2925-598 Azeitão Portugal jorge.angelino tel: mobile: 210813674 963916784 Add me to your address book...
