Guest guest
Thursday, 23 March 2006, 02:26 GMT 'All saved' as Canada ferry sinks All 100 passengers and crew have been rescued from a sinking ferry off Canada's Pacific coast, reports say. The British Columbia ferry is thought to have struck a rock near Gil Island, 80 miles (129 km) south of Prince Rupert, early on Wednesday morning. Officials said all the passengers and crew had been evacuated to lifeboats before the 125m (410ft) ship went down. The president of British Columbia Ferries said it was a " miracle " no-one had been killed or seriously injured. The ferry was sailing through the Inside Passage, on a 15-hour journey from Prince Rupert to Vancouver Island, when it went down at about 0025 (0825 GMT). http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4835698.stm Dasha: Ra/Ra/Me/Me/Ra satva Jorge Angelino Rua da Sociedade Filarmónica Perpétua Azeitonense, 29 2925-598 Azeitão Portugal jorge.angelino tel: mobile: 210813674 963916784 Add me to your address book...
