Guest guest Posted January 17, 2006 Report Share Posted January 17, 2006 Flooding forces hundreds from homes Monday, January 16, 2006; Posted: 1:26 p.m. EST (18:26 GMT) SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) -- Flooding from heavy rains has forced at least 350 people from their homes and left at least one missing along Costa Rica's northern Caribbean coast, authorities said Monday. Rescue workers were searching for 45-year-old Ramiro Madriz, who was in his car when it was carried away by floodwaters in San Isidro de Heredia, said Red Cross official Noemy Coto. His wife, who also was with him in the car, managed to escape.
