Guest guest
Dear Professor, Jorge and list: Last evening, the Canadian men's ice hockey team won the gold medal at the international tournament held in Vancouver, Canada. The Canadian team, made up of players with little or no international competition experience, defeated the favoured Russian team 5-0. The USA team who had more experience and maturity went home empty handed and out of the medals being defeated by Finland. Both USA and Russia were favoured to win the tournament. Is there any factor in the contry's chart that would be the significator for sport (planet or house)? Are there any transit/dasha influences currently that would have been of benefit to Canada and a detriment to Russia and USA. The games were played in an international forum. With my best wishes. Guest guest
Dear Chuck, Congratulations! Let us look to the chart: Dasha: Ra/Ra/Sa/Mo/Ju In rasi, Rahu is placed in H5 (sports), unafflicted/unafflicting (gives wordly benefits, sudden gains), and influenced by retrograde Venus, L2 (status, gains). In transit, this “positive†Rahu is also unafflicted and well placed, as it is in H7 (opponents, rivals, adversaries), closely influencing MEPs 7, 11, 1 and 3. In rasi, Saturn, L6 (competition), is well placed in H4 (happiness, promotion and victory), under the close influence of Jupiter, L2 (status, gains), and Sun, L12 (foreigners, loss). All the planets in H4 are well disposed, as natal Jupiter is in its own MT sign, and transit Jupiter is in H2. In transit, retrograde Saturn is well placed in H11 (gains, victory over enemies). Saturn, Jupiter, MEP 11, an MEP 3 are under the close influence of transit Mars (valour, energy, courage). Natal Moon, being L11 (gains), is placed in Leo, the royal sign of the Sun, in H12 (foreign countries), and benefically aspected by natal Jupiter. It closely aspects MEP6, being a benefic influence in all the matters related with H6 (competitions, for example). Depending on the exact time of the event, transit Moon may have been placed in Aries, giving the national consciousness an extra fighting value. Natal Jupiter, L4, is the MBP, is well placed in its own MT sign, under the influence of Saturn and Sun, as we have seen. In transit, Jupiter is well placed in H2 (gains), and its dispositor, retrograde Venus, is well placed in H5 (sports).
