Astroview for December 29 – January 11

Sun transits Sagittarius, 13:40 to 27:56°, outside the orb of influence of other planets. Sun is strong through Jan. 8. (This is favorable for leaders and governments, unlike last year when Sun was under the close aspect of Rahu, which contributed to the Indian Ocean earthquake that triggered the deadliest tsunamis in recorded history.)

Moon transits Scorpio through Gemini. Moon, in Scorpio, is debilitated Dec. 29. Moon, in Sagittarius is conjunct Sun (the new Moon), Dec. 30. Moon, in Pisces, is on the Rahu/Ketu axis, Jan. 5. (Exercise a lot of care and patience.)

Mercury transits out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, Dec. 30. Mercury is weak through Jan. 2. (Delay investments until Jan. 3).

Mars transits Aries, from 16:29 to 20:24°, under the close aspect of Jupiter, while moving away from the aspect of Saturn. (Real estate rebounds in Jan. except for Taurus, Cancer, and Capricorn rising signs.)

Venus transits Capricorn, from 07:02 to 00:48°. Venus is weak Jan. 4-22 and retrograde until Feb. 3. (Delay marriage and investments in the arts and luxuries.)

Jupiter transits Libra from 18:54 to 21:03°, under the close aspect of Mars through Jan. (Watch for religious conflicts. Be careful and patient if you are a Taurus, Virgo, or Scorpio rising sign.)

Saturn transits Cancer from 16:09 to 15:10°, retrograde until April 5. Saturn is under the aspect of Mars until Jan. 11 and Rahu through May. (This is not ideal for the elderly, labor force, or the gas/oil industry.)

Rahu and Ketu transit Pisces and Virgo, from 15:23 to 13:51°. Ketu is under the close aspect of Saturn through May. (Persons, companies, and countries with rising signs, or planets in “even” signs, from 12 to 16° should be patient and cautious and do planetary remedies for their charts.)

TRANSITS FOR EACH RISING SIGN:

Aries: Make hay while the Sun shines. This is a favorable time for you, connected with good fortune, dharma, relationships, marriage, partnerships, home life, property, and career. Health and finances improve in early Jan.

Taurus: Protect your health, finances, children and investments. Put legal work in writing. Exercise patience with your career. There can losses, expenses, travel, relocation and fluctuations in income. Take care to avoid accidents at home, and be patient with family life.

Be careful and patient at home.

Gemini: There may be some delay with the marriage or partnerships under consideration. Protect your children, education, and investments. There can be good fortune and income connected with your career and friendships. Be patient and avoid disputes in home life.

Cancer: Take care before you speak to avoid conflict and disputes through mid-Jan. Protect your family life. Exercise patience with your career to manage the conflicts and setbacks. There can be fire, theft, and accidents at the workplace. Delay entrepreneurial activities.

Leo: Focus on your children, education, investments, and entrepreneurial activities, but avoid disputes and conflicts in these areas. Do not sign important documents before Jan. 3. Protect your marriage and partnerships. There may be travel or relocation over the next 20 months.

Virgo: Rest through Jan. 2. Focus on your children, education, investments, wealth, status and family life. Avoid disputes with friends and older siblings, or over income. There may be some conflict over inheritance or windfalls. Spiritual practices are helpful and important.

Libra: Focus on home life, property and entrepreneurial activities. Be careful to avoid disputes and conflict in the workplace. Delay travel or foreign ventures through Jan. 2. Count on your marriage and partnerships. Put a lot of attention on teaching, publishing and advisory roles.

Scorpio: There may be some talk of travel, relocation, or international ventures with your career. Delay entrepreneurial expenses. Income improves after Jan. 2. Protect your property and home life and be careful avoid conflicts and disputes.

Sagittarius: There is good fortune, income, wealth and status within your grasp. Your career also gets a lift after Jan. 2. Focus on teaching, publishing and advisory roles through Oct., but continue with what you are doing and delay new business ventures for the next 20 months.

Capricorn: Home and career plans come to you, including travel, relocation, or international ventures connected with the fine, performing, or healing arts. Relocation is written all over the chart. Avoid expenses connected with your inheritance or windfalls.

Aquarius: There may be gains and good fortune for you connected with travel, relocation, or international ventures. Keep focused on your entrepreneurial activities, along with a program to manage your health and debts. Be careful to avoid accidents through Jan. 2.

Pisces: There may be some windfall for you, but tell your friends and older siblings to be careful to avoid accidents. Focus on research and mystical knowledge. Delay disputes and conflict in your career. There are expenses connected with your children, education and investments.
