" (95) This act is considered to be the birth of the state of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. The Serbian national parliament approved this act on December 29th, 1920. (96) The authors of the unification did not dare convoke the Croatian diet to ratify this act, although it was still in existence and only was dissolved on November 28th, 1920. http://www.magma.ca/~rendic/chapter8.htm On November 24, 1918, at Zagreb in Croatia, the National Council of Slovenes, Croats, and Serbs, representing the Slavs of Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Slovenia and Bosnia, proclaimed the union of their territories, hitherto all subject to Austria-Hungary, with Serbia and Montenegro in one State of the Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. It then sent a delegation to invite Serbia to adhere to this union. On November 25, however, a National Assembly of the Serbs of Vojvodina, at Novi Sad, voted for the immediate union of their country with Serbia; and on November 26 a Montenegrin Grand National Assembly, at Podgorica, voted for union with Serbia. Tito died in a clinic centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia on May 4, 1980 1991 Jun 25, The civil war in Yugoslavia began when Croatia and Slovenia proclaimed independence from Yugoslavia. 1992 March 01 - In a referrendum in Montenegro 75% of the votes are cast in favor of a " common state " with Serbia (The Albanian and Muslim population boycots the vote). 1992 April 27 - The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (a state comprising the former Yugoslav republics of Serbia and Montenegro) was adopted. 1992 April 28 - The parliaments of Serbia and Montenegro, the two remaining republics of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, declare themselves the legitimate successors of that state. 1992 May 27 - The European Union introduced economic sanctions against Serbia and Montenegro, 1992 May 31 - 50,000 protesters march in Belgrade calling for an end to the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina and demanding the resignation of Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic. 1992 June 21 - Yugoslavia was voted out of GATT. 1993 June 02 - During violent mass protests in Belgrade the opposition leader Vuk Draskovic (form the Serbian Movement for Renewal) was arrested. 1993 September 30 - In Montenegro demonstrators favoring independence from Serbia threw stones and bricks at the Montenegrin President Momir Bulatovic. 1994 Feb 28, Two U.S. F-16 fighter jets downed four Serb warplanes that U.N. officials said had bombed an arms plant run by Bosnia's Muslim-led government. 1999 March 24 - NATO launched air strikes against Yugoslavia in an effort to persuade Milosevic to accept a plan for an autonomy for the province of Kosovo. November - The Central Committee of the People's Council of the SCS proclaimed the unification of the state of Slovenes, Croats and the Serbs living in the area of the former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and the Kingdom of Serbia and Montenegro into a single state of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. 1. December - A delegation of the People's Council of SCS and Regent Aleksandar Karadjordjevic proclaimed the common state in Belgrade - the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.  1929 3. October - The Law on the name and division of the Kingdom into administrative regions changed the name of the state into the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the country was divided into nine sub-regions (Banovina).  1943. - 1945. 29. November 1943. - At the Second Session of the Anti-fascist Council of National Liberation of Yugoslavia (AVNOJ), Yugoslavia was designed as a federation of five nations (Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Macedonians and Montenegrins) and six federal units (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina). 10 August 1945. - At the Third Session of AVNOJ in Belgrade Yugoslavia was given the name Democratic Federal Yugoslavia (DFJ). 29. November 1945. - The Constituent Assembly proclaimed the Republic changing the state's name into the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia (FNRJ).  1963. 7. April 1963. - The new Federal Constitution was adopted changing the state's name into the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRJ).  1991. 25. June - The Parliament (Sabor) of the Republic of Croatia adopted unanimously the Declaration proclaiming an independent and sovereign Republic of Croatia and initiated the procedure of disassociation from Yugoslavia. The Assembly of Slovenia adopted a decision on separation from the SFRY and a declaration of independence. 15. October - The Assembly of Bosnia-Herzegovina, in the absence of the MPs of Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) adopted a Memorandum on a sovereign B-H. 21. November - The Parliament of Macedonia formally promulgated the Macedonian Constitution defining Macedonia as a sovereign and independent state.  1992. 27. April - The Federal Chamber of the SFRY Assembly adopted the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SRJ) as the joint state of Serbia and Montenegro.  2002. 14. March – The officials of FR Yugoslavia, the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Montenegro signed in Belgrade, in the presence of the High Representative of the European Union, the Proceeding Points for the Restructuring of Relations between Serbia and Montenegro stipulating that " Serbia and Montenegro " was to be the name of the FRY in the future.  2003. 4.
