Guest guest
Dear List Members, Please forget about the previous Aquarius rising sign from September 7 1882. It is the rectified chart of the declaration of Brazil independence. The decision to become independent happened on January 9 1822. Guest guest
Dear Tom, It was not explaining some events. After further research, I came to know they have decided in fact to become free from Portugal several months before, on January 9 1882. The ceremony was prepared for 12:00 PM, after several members of the local Masonry had colected more than 8000 signatures undersigning a document asking the Portuguese heir prince, D. Pedro, to stay in Brazil instead of coming back to Portugal, according with the orders he had received from his father, the king D. João VI. The prince accepted and said: " I will stay! " (in Portuguese, " Eu fico! " ). This day is celebrated in Brazil as the day of FICO (Dia do Fico). There is here a similarity with what happened in USA. The day they celebrate independence is the day in which the prince proclaimed it, September 7 1882, and the real day of the decision, January 9 1882, is oversighted.
