Guest guest
Heat wave brings misery to much of U.S. Another scorching day predicted for many Tuesday, July 26, 2005; Posted: 11:16 a.m. EDT (15:16 GMT) AP) -- Temperatures soared past 100 in several cities Monday, and the National Weather Service posted excessive heat warnings and advisories from Illinois to Louisiana and from Nebraska to the District of Columbia. Some areas weren't expected to receive a break until Wednesday. Some 200 cities in the West hit daily record highs last week, including Las Vegas, Nevada, at 117, and Death Valley, California, at 129, the weather service said. The blistering heat has caused numerous deaths this summer. In the Phoenix, Arizona, area alone, 24 people, most of them homeless, have died. At least four deaths have been blamed on the heat in Missouri, including a woman found dead Sunday in a home without air conditioning. Four people have died of the heat in Oklahoma, two of them young children left in cars, and at least three heat deaths have been tallied in New Jersey. Across much of the nation, people cranked up their air conditioners, headed to swimming pools and ran through sprinklers to try to stay cool. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/07/26/heat.wave.ap/index.html Dear List Members, Since June 19, 2005, the operational dasha is Ve/Sa/Ke. It will last till August 24, 2005, when Ve/Sa/Ve will begin. At this moment, transit Mars afflicts transit Saturn, which is combust, and transit Ketu/Rahu axis afflicts natal Saturn. Saturn is already a dry planet.
