Guest guest
16 July 2005 Hi Prem: 1). Yes . . . God Bless Jorge and his wonderful work!......Amazing. 2). I suspect you are right where I am . . looking for a reliable chart with which to trade. After working with just about every chart I could find, I was left was dissatisfaction. Not one chart for the general market has worked well enough for us to make money with in a reliable manner. I am currently having a blast researching that dark period in American history before the Buttonwood Agreement - the founding of the NYSE. I am also looking into a couple of odd approaches to charting. At this point in time, all I can say is that I am having a great time using the few moments I can steal away from day-to-day obligations to reach back into what promises to be a fertile part of American investment history. * The thesis I am operating on is that Buttonwood was neither the beginning of trade nor commerce in the USA, and that the birth of American investing and speculation was way prior to 1792. Warm Regards, John John D. Andre, D.C., N.D. DrJDAndre hi folks 1. Thankyou Jorge for meticulously going thru rectifications of the national charts. Good on you Jorge ! 2. I was wondering whether anyone had any material on the "birth" of the Financial Indices ? I am especially interested in S & P500. In my search i came across 2 dates: 1 March 1957 10:00am and 4 March 1957 9:30am, both unrectified. I am interested in anything confirming or denying theses dates. thanx in advance best regards prem
