It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack, but Islamist leaders in Mauritania have strongly opposed President Maaoya Sid'Ahmed Taya -- who has survived several coup attempts during his 20-year reign. The ambush occurred overnight as the soldiers in 10 army vehicles patrolled a zone near the vast desert nation's borders with Algeria and Mali, said Mohamed Lemine Ould Sidi, a colonel in the office of the army chief of staff. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/africa/06/05/mauritania.ap/index.html Dear List Members, Dasha is Ve/Sa/Me/Su/Ju.
