Guest guest
Hello Professor, Members, I attached the chart of film maker; writer, director, producer George Lucas. Sixth lord is close to seventh lord, representing marriage conflicts but also as Venus is signifier of worldly knowledge and the arts, it shows the interest in warfare. Also, the signifier for professional position, the Sun is well placed in the second house, but very weak. I wonder why that is the case when he has such notoriety. It signifies creativity as well. I understand he has three children, though adopted. Jupiter may be the reason, although it's the last signifier for position, it rules the ninth house and is very close to fourth mep ( it is reported that Lucas' fortune is $3 billion). Mars is closely afflicted by the nodes and is dispositor for both Venus and Mercury, two signifiers for position. Comments..? Sally Mini biographyGeorge Lucas was raised on a walnut ranch in Modesto, California. His father was a stationery store owner and he had three siblings. During his late teens he went to Downey High School and was very much interested in drag car racing. He planned to become a professional racecar driver. However a terrible car accident just after his high school graduation ended that dream permanently. The accident changed his views on life. He decided to attend Modesto Junior College before enrolling in the University of Southern California film school. As a film student he made several short films including THX-1138: 4EB (Electronic Labyinth) which won first prize at the 1967-68 National Student Film Festival. In 1967 he was awarded a scholarship by Warner Brothers to observe the making of Finian's Rainbow (1968) which was being directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Lucas and Coppola became good friends and formed a company called American Zoetrope in 1969. The company's first project was Lucas' full-length version of THX 1138 (1971). In 1971, Coppola went into production for The Godfather (1972), and Lucas formed his own company, Lucasfilm Ltd. In 1973 he wrote and directed the semi-autobiographical American Graffiti (1973) which won the Golden Globe and garnered five Academy Award nominations. This gave him the clout he needed for his next daring venture. From 1973 to 1974 he began writing the screenplay for Star Wars (1977). He was inspired to make this movie from Flash Gordon and the Planet of the Apes films. In 1975 he established ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) to produce the visual effects needed for the movie. Another company called Sprocket Systems was established to edit and mix Star Wars and later becomes known as Skywalker Sound. His movie was turned down by several studios until Twentieth Century Fox gave him a chance. Lucas agreed to forgo his directing salary in exchange for 40% of the film's box-office take and all merchandising rights. The movie went on to break all box office records and earned seven Academy Awards. It redefined the term " blockbuster " . The rest is history. Lucas made the other Star Wars films and along with Steven Spielberg created the Indiana Jones series which made box office records of their own. From 1980 to 1985 Lucas was busy with the construction of Skywalker Ranch, built to accommodate the creative, technical, and administrative needs of Lucasfilm. Lucas also revloutionized movie theaters with the THX System which was created to maintain the highest quality standards in motion picture viewing. He went on to make several more movies that have created major breakthroughs in film making. He is chairman of the board of The George Lucas Educational Foundation. In 1992 George Lucas was honored with the Irving G. Thalberg Award by the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his lifetime achievement. His chart is an interesting study, and perhaps you will see some of his characters in it! What Do You Think? 1. This man is a creative genius, a visionary, whose ability to dream up mythic stories is executed with technical wizardry. Where in the chart do you find the planetary placements that might indicate his particular brand of brilliance? 2. He is a man who reveals little of himself and who doesn't live or socialize in stereotypical Hollywood style. Where in the chart do you find the signature of a man who refuses to be in the public eye no matter how successful he is? Where is the man who remains a devoted single father, sheltering his children from media scrutiny? 3. Lucas didn't pursue his career with any particular financial advantage or any particular support from his family or friends. He talks of how others discouraged him from pursuing a career in film because it wasn't practical. Despite such advice, he followed his heart and he has made millions doing what he loves to do. Where in the birth chart might you find the promise of generating such a substantial fortune from his craft? 4. If you are a Star Wars fan, what planetary placements do you associate with what characters? This man is a creative genius, a visionary, whose ability to dream up mythic stories is executed with technical wizardry
Guest guest
Hello Ms Sally, The Moon is the strongest planet in this chart followed by Jupiter which has 91% strength. Jupiter closely influences (74%) the fourth, eighth, tenth and twelfth houses. The Moon rules imagination, assets, mental peace, stability, creativity, etc. and these are very necessary for his profession. Jupiter adds the element of luck and comparatively easy success. The placement of the weak Sun in the house of status links for his being known and having adopted children. The influence of Mercury over Venus is just zero as both planets have a longitudinal distance of almost five degrees. The influence of Rahu and Ketu over Mars is 9% only. Guest guest
Hello, I found this on astrodatabank and they said the birth certificate was in hand. Jupiter is awfully strong and so is the Moon. I didn't realize the Moon had creativity, stability attached to it, of course it does. And I forgot the placement of a planet such as the Sun, is the most important aspect of a planet. The weakness of course showed up in children, not so much in status. And it's true Mars is pretty strong as well, and then Mercury and Venus too. So good chart all in all..for assets, fortune and creativity as well as status. Thanks. Guest guest
I see, since Jupiter aspects so closely the tenth house, this explains the status first, even before the Sun.. Thank you Professor. I hadn't considered the aspects of Jupiter on the tenth house, which is the first signifier for position in profession according to SA. Once again, the ease of interpretation of SA.
