Dear Friends:

In this week's Astroview column, I said:

"May 11 is Akshaya Tritiya, an auspicious day of the Vedic calendar, the day of immortality, fulfillment and lasting achievement. New beginnings or valuables bought on this day bring luck and success. Celebrate weddings, plan journeys, new businesses, and other events. Buy gold, silver, jewelry, and assets. Listen to chants for Ganesh."

As it turns out, this date (May 11) is applicable in India and other countries.

Here in the U.S., however, we can celebrate this auspicious day on Tuesday, May 10th,

(This is when both Sun and Moon are in their exaltation signs, which is the basis of the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya).

Best wishes, David Hawthorne, M.S., J.B.Vedic Astrologer and Educator508 N. Second St., Fairfield, IA 52556 USA641-472-3799www.astroview.com
