I lived very well there and learned to value so many things in life in a new and improved way because of the experience. I lived in Karnal during the years 1970-1973, just a half mile east of the GT Road (bypass), not far from Modeltown. I'm sure you know exactly where I am talking about. It is just a conincidence that during 1970-72 I was working with Haryana Govt and visited Karnal many times on official work.
