> Dear Jorge and list:

While Rahu may be transiting the seventh house, it is not near the

MEP of the house, nor are there any contacts from Mars, Saturn or

Rahu to natal planets or MEP's.

This was the biggest slaying of police officers in 120 years in

Canada. Would you at least not expect there to be some transit

contacts for such a major event in Canada's history?

Granted the chart is running RA/RA and the government proposes to

decriminalize possession of small quantities of cannibis. Could

natal Rahu in the fifth indicate recreational use of drugs by the

population?

Best wishes, Chuck

Dear Chuck,

Yes, Ra/Ra/Ra is running. The unafflicted/unafflicting Rahu in H5 has to

do with the recreational use of drugs by many citizens of Canada. These

tendencies of the mind may have been latent but are now getting

materialized in Ra/Ra.

(Non-SA) Natal Rahu is in the nakshatra of the FM Sun, L12 in H4, which

brings matters related with H12 and H4 to the fore. In rashi, the Sun is

the dispositor of the the Moon (collective consciousness) and it is

afflicted by natal Saturn, L6, in H4. Both planets afflict H4

(happiness), which is not conducive to spontaneous happiness on the

collective consciousness. People may try to look for it through the use

of " inoffensive " drugs. In navamsha, the Sun is in Pisces (sign 12, also

related with drug usage) and also afflicted by the Rahu/Ketu axis.

At the moment, Jupiter, L4, is weak as its dispositor, Mercury, L1, is

debilitated (which means also sign 12).

Best wishes,

Jorge

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, while there is natal

potential, it appears to me there are still no transit triggers to

this chart, with all due respect. I am just trying to understand how

this fits with the Canada rectified chart. With my best wishes, Chuck

Dear Chuck,

I think you mean there are no transit triggers to the MEPs.

The Sun is afflicting MEP6, and the double affliction of Mars and Saturn

over transit operational Rahu is enough to create the event.

Best wishes,

Jorge

Dear Jorge and list. I meant no transit triggers to BOTH natal

planets and MEPs.

The tr Sun was almost three degrees passed MEP 6 at the time of the

event.

Once again, I sincerely do not see how this was " enough " to create

the event.

Respectfully, Chuck

As a new member of SAMVA (and, of course, a Canadian), I am

surprised with this data. July 1, 1867, 0h, is taken for granted.

Point to the line. Campion quoted ;-)

Do you have the historical basis for this data?

And may I kindly ask what is your point of view on the formation of

the (four first) provinces?

Dear François,

The Act of Union

of 1840, which entered into effect on the 1st of January 1842, as we can see in http://www.canadiana.org/citm/themes/constitution/constitution11_e.html#actofunion

And http://www.canadiana.org/ECO/PageView/9_01401/0005?id=9681cddee3fdffcd & size=3 , created the United Province of Canada.

After checking

many other hypotheses, I came to the conclusion that the rectified chart of

CANADA is:

Regarding the

chart of July 1, 1867, it is properly indicated for 12:00 AM, by Nicholas Campion

in page 73 of his Book of World Horoscopes. It happens that it does not explain

so well the events.

Some of the events/facts used in the rectification:

Epidemics have by

far the highest death tolls of all Canadian disasters. The worst of these

were the Spanish influenza epidemic which killed between 30,000 and 50,000

Canadians in the last five months of 1918; the 1862 smallpox epidemic which

killed at least 20,000; and another smallpox epidemic in 1885 which killed

almost 6,000 in Montreal.

As a new member of SAMVA (and, of course, a Canadian),

I am

surprised with this data. July 1, 1867, 0h, is taken

for granted.

Point to the line. Campion quoted ;-)

Do you have the historical basis for this data?

And may I kindly ask what is your point of view on the

formation of

the (four first) provinces?

Dear Jorge and List:

It is interesting to note that in the Canada Confederation chart

July 1, 1867, 12:01 am, Ottawa:

TR 12th Lord FM Saturn aspects Rahu in 6H; and aspects the 1st, 4th,

6th and 10th House MEPs from the fourth house;

TR 8th Lord FM Venus aspects Mars from 12H while conjoining Jupiter;

TR 6th Lord FM Sun transits 12H conjoining Jupiter;

Badly placed 6th H Mars Transits 10H aspecting the 1st, 4th 5th and

10th house MEPs.

Badly placed 10th Lord Jupiter Transists 7th H in an almost perfect

aspect to FM 12th Lord Venus and aspecting the 1st, 3rd, 7th and

11th H MEP's.

I submit there are more tangible aspects in this chart to explain

the event.

It is interesting that as this story unfolds, it turns out the four

junior inexperienced officers who were killed, were initially sent

to reinforce a court order to repossess an auto. They believed the

suspect was not home at the time of the shootings. They just

happened to stumble across the drug grow op and were ambushed and

shot dead. The whole thing is a tragic accident.

Anyone else want to weigh in on these charts. I'm still not a big

fan of the above chart.

With my best wishes, Chuck

Dear Chuck,

for the list of events/calamities given in each chart, it will be an

interesting exercise to see how they explain them. In my opinion, the

Act of Union chart explains them better then the Dominion chart.

Best wishes,

Jorge

>Dear Jorge. I'll take some of the country's most important dates,

not just calamities, and see how they match up. It's a project that

is long overdue and should be undertaken by someone from Canada. As

I said, I'm not a big fan of the Dominion chart. Maybe this is just

one of those rare times that there is an event and so many hits.

I'll work at this in my spare time and get back to you down the road.

Thanks, Chuck
