The 6.4-magnitude quake struck just before 0600 (0230 GMT) and was centred near Zarand in Kerman province, 740km (460 miles) from the capital, Tehran. The authorities say up to 70% of the buildings in six villages around Zarand have been damaged or destroyed. Casualties are expected to rise as rescue workers reach the area. Heavy rain is hampering rescue work. State-run television in Iran and the local governor's office in Kerman put the death toll in the earthquake, which lasted 11 seconds, at more than 500. So the chart seems right, given the event. Interesting to have an earhquake on the day the Nodes shifted signs. Ketu's Transit that you cited is a " simple explanation " for similar disasters for the people, but in my opinion cannot show us occurence of an " Earthquake " . Just Ketu's transit over transit L4 is not enough to produce an earthquake, as we have seen with all the remaining Cancer rising signs in the world. What happens with Iran is that already in rashi its MEP4 is exactly afflicted by Ketu from H8, and natal Venus, L4, is badly placed and closely afflicted by the MMP Saturn. Besides this, natal Jupiter, L6, also closely " afflicts " natal Venus with its 8th aspect (non-SA). So the H4 is strongly afflicted. Whenever the MEP4 or L4 are afflicted in transit, the earth shakes, especially when transit Venus becomes extra-weak by extreme infancy, combustion and bad placement, which is the case. Also natal Venus was exactly conjunct with transit Sun. Being in Rahu/Ketu/Saturn, with transit Saturn closely afflicting natal Rahu from H12, also helped to " detonate " the existent afflictions. Transit Saturn is afflicted by natal Ketu from H8.
