First of all, my heartfelt condolences with bereaved and I pray for

the peace of the departed soul...

 

You rightly said the boy was brilliant with Mercury being in the 10th

and Jupiter Ketu being in the Lagna but unfortunate both contributed

some way or the other in the demise of the young man.

 

The lord of Lana Mars is in fall with the AK, Venus, in the 9th

house.

Lord of the second house is occupying Lagna in a Nodal axis. Lord of

the Seveth Venus and AK is is in the ninth.

 

Lord of Eighth Mercury is Retrograde and under Papa kartari in the

tenth house. Natural Ayushkakrka Saturn is in the 12th. This all

renders the horoscope a Little weak.

 

In Navamsa Moon is occupying the eight house.

 

While examining all the three pairs of " Longevity Determinants " from

Jaimini method, it gives Poornaaayu (Full life Span).

 

Where then is the catch???

 

It lies in if the Jaimini Sootra :

 

" YOGAATSAME SWASMIN VIPAREETAM "

 

If AK occupies the 7th or the 9th, reverse the indication of Aayu.

That is, in the instant Case, the Poorna Aayu will become Alpa Ayu

(short span of life).

 

See, the tragic event occurred in Char dasa of Leo housing Retrograde

Mercury, the lord of 8th house., and in the sub sub of Pisces which

happens to be AL. Leo - Pisces being 6th / 8th to each other. Leo

was the Rasi dasa under the scheme of Sthira dasa also...Leo and

Sagittarius do bring in the turning / transformation time for the

native as per the nature of the chart. in the instant case the life

unfortunately took a Lions Leap...

I've a question: What if AK is Rahu and it occupies the 7th house,

and the aayu using first method is Madhya (medium), how will we apply

the Vipreetam? Will madhya age move to long age, or it will move

toward short (alpya ayu)?

 

In the above case, does functioning of Vipreetam...depend on the

placement of the 8th lord (rasi chart)? If yes, then what will happen

if 8th lord is in the 12th house?

 

What are the other factors influecing the Vipreetam...

 

Please shed light.

There is quite a lot of obscurity about Jaimini amonst uninitiated

like me.

Firstly, there is a view that Rahu should not be taken into scheme of

things of charakarakas if other seven can fulfill the role.

 

Secondly, There is a difference of opinion on reversing the Span of

Life. Shri Sanjay Rath Ji has stated that the order of reversal is

from " short to Medium to Long and vice versa " . Another commentator,

Dr Mishra says " Middle remains Middle, Short become long and Long the

Short " ...I am not competent enough to reach the great yogiJaimini my

self.

 

Other factors which effect longevity is Saturn, Moon, Jupiter and

lords of Eight and twelfth houses from Ascendant, AL, Vernada and

other specified Lagnas. Special mention has been made for the role

of Rudra.

 

However, what is clear is that one has to go along with the majority

of the determinants of Ayu.
