Namaste Gauranga,

In your calculation of Narayana Dasa of your D1.....for Aq and

Cp...both lorded by Sat and it is in DEBILITY.....I think 1 yr needs

to be SUBTRACTED.

Dear Gauranga,

One of the first rules of judging the stronger of Aq and Sc states:

(a) First see if one lord is in that sign. If so, other lord is

stronger. For example, if Saturn is in Aquarius, then invariably Rahu

should be taken as its lord.

This is what I follow.....but as the rules are not final and

binding ...you could try your variation. Please do let me know if by

taking Rh as lord of Aq clarifies matters...in which case Aq will

have 12yrs.

Now for Cp...its lord is always Sa...and its debilitated....but

Retro...this can also be looked upon as exception...I usually take it

as debilitated and subtract an extra year for its debility.

Yes, you are correct. If Ta and Li are stronger than Sc and Ar

respectively,

then antardasas in all the 4 dasas will start from the rasi

containing Venus.

However, antardasa progression can be different. If Li has Ketu in

it, then

Ketu exception applies and antardasa progression is reversed for Li

and Ar

dasas. Ta and Sc dasas will go as usual.

In fact, if those planets are in the same sign, then antardasas in

all dasas may start from the same sign (i.e. just ONE sign)!

For example, suppose Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are in Ar. Suppose

Ar, Sc, Sg, Cp, Aq and Pi are stronger than the 7th from them.

Then you can see that antardasas start from Ar in all dasas.

The calculation of years for the dasa's are all correct. But the

sequence is incorrect!!!

You are right in that Cn is stronger than Cp. So Cn initiates the

sequence. But, notice the

presence of Ke in the initaiting sign Cn!!! Thus Ke exception comes

into act and by its very

nature Ke will reverse the direction and hence the progression will be

Zodiacally, like so:

Cn, Le, Vi etc.

One more thing, you have alloted 8yrs to Ke, as you must have

considered Ke to be stronger than

Ma. Gurudev in one of his posts mentioned that aspect of Ju on nodes

reduces its powers.

So in this case, Ma is stronger than Ke, and hence Sc will contribute

only 1yr in the first

cycle.

I will just go ahead and list, for the benefit of all the members, the

Namaste. I have a question regarding Narayana dasa. When ND starts from 7th

house, the results of the dasa are to be ascertained 7th from the Dasa rasi,

right? In my case, I am currently running Libra ND for rasi chart which is 11th

house. But since 7th house is strong, the dasas started from 7th house. So the

results of Libra ND should be ascertained from Aries i.e., Aries is the dasa

rasi now, is this right? Also, Moon (AK) is in Aries, so a period of

lessons/trials is to be expected? How to judge the Antardasa then? Per JHora,

the current ND period is Libra - Cancer. So it should be read as Aries -

Capricorn or Aries - Cancer.

I'd really appreciate your answer.

#1 Yes, it should be from Aries in that case.

#2 AK shows lessons and trials in Vimshottari, in ND it shows important

time.

#3 AD should be read normally so its Aries-Cancer.
