How To Find the Birth Date and Birth Time using Prashna - Part 1

Namaste Sanjay Jain Ji, Gurus and Learned Members,

This would be my attempt to write on " Nashta Jatakam " principles taught by

Sanjay Ji and Visti Ji to me. If my analysis is not correct, then it would be my

short coming in understanding their teachings to me only and we should not

conclude the teaching are in correct.

Because of lack of time and also the different levels of requests I am planning

to write multiple messages taking a specific request as an example. So when you

read them one by one or together, hopefully you can understand what I am

attempting to communicate to my fellow Jyotish students.

Before I start giving the principles and my analysis, let me let you things. I

used JHora for this analysis and also used the " Mandi raises at the middle of

Shani's portion " . Some astrologers have different opinion in this definition,

but this is what I was taught and I am happy with this definition as it is

giving me good results. If you believe this definition is not what you think

accurate then, it is the time for you not to read any further and waste your

valuable time. As we had many discussion on this very same definition some years

ago and I do not have the time to discuss any more on this definition. If my

fellow research oriented Jyotishas are interested then, I would request them to

search for this definition in this list archives and you will find many of the

old discussion on this Mandi's definition.

Having said that now let me go for the principles and analysis.

In this case, the native is pretty much know about the year, month and date of

his birth and time of birth is also known, but he wants the confirmation on what

is the actual birth time.

Native had provided the known birth details as follows:-

August 13, 1968

Time: 5:50:00

Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)

Place: 77 E 12' 00 " , 24 N 27' 00 "

Raghogarh, India

Today, I have decided to cast the Prashna Chart at the following time to find

the birth time of the native and taken as the Prashna Chart for this analysis:-

September 3, 2007

Time: 16:31:32

Time Zone: 5:00:00 (West of GMT)

Place: 93 W 20' 59 " , 44 N 53' 23 "

Minnesota, USA

Prashna Navamsa Lagna is Karka and which is same as Native's Rasi Lagna. Prashna

Navamsa Lagna lord is Chandra and who is placed in 11h house of Vrisabha with

Shani and aspecting the Lagna by Rashi Drishti in Prashna Navamsa. This Navamsa

Lord Chandra is placed in native's Rasi chart in Meena Rasi along with Rahu.

This Prashna Navamsa Lagna lord Moon is placed in Trines to the Native's Rasi

Lagna of Karkata. So the question is genuine and desire to know the birth time

is accurate hence I am going forward.

As the native is sure about the Birth Date, so I have skipped the following

analysis, but when I do some other requests, we will cover them also:-

1) Finding the Year of Birth using the Jup's placement

2) Finding the Aayana

3) Finding the Ritu/Season

4) Finding the Tithi/Nakshatra

5) Finding whether the birth was in the day or night:-

Even though the native had confirmed that his birth was taken place during the

day time. I wanted to verify the principle which I have learned.

Here the Prasna Rasi Lagna is Dhanus, which is a Night sign, so the birth of the

native must be during the day. This is matching with what the native's confirmed

to us earlier. That is a good indication and we will go forward now.

6) Finding, Native's Lagna:-

The strongest among the Prashna Navamsa Lagna or its trines will indicate the

Native's Rasi Lagna. So in this case, Prashna Navamsa Lagna is Karka and its

lord Chandra is placed in Vrisabha and aspecting the Lagna by Rashi drishti

making the Lagna is strong. The trines to Karka are Vrischika and Meena (Guru

placed in it). Shukra placed in Makara is also aspecting the Lagna and Prashna

Navamsa lagna has Kuja and Ketu. All these are indicating that Native's Rasi

Lagna should be Karka. So what the native provided the birth time is accurate at

the Lagna level. So now let us go to the next level.

7) Finding, Native's Navamsa Lagna:-

The principle what I have learned is : Native's Navamsa Lagna should be in

Quadrants ( 1, 4, 7 or 10) to Mandi, then only native is either do not know the

accurate birth time or lost his/her birth Chart.

With the provided birth time, the native's navamsa Lagna is in Kumbha and which

is not in quadrants to Mandi. So the possible Navamsa lagna's are : Makara,

Vrisabha or Kanya.

Let us now fine tune the birth time keeping in mind that the Native's Rasi lagna

is Karkataka. So in this Karkataka Lagna, can give us the following Navamsa

Lagna's only.

1) Makara : Time from : 5:26:46 AM to 5:41:57 AM

2) When we attempt to get to the Vrisabha the Rasi Lagna changes to Simha, so

this cannot be correct.

So we have identified the Navamsa lagna of this native is Makara only which

gives the birth time between 5:26:46 AM to 5:41:57 AM.

Lack of time, I am not going forward to fine tune the birth time in this Navamsa

lagna and I would suggest my fellow Jyotish students to take this and refine

further to pin point the birth time by asking the following questions to the

native's past life events:-

1) How many siblings the native have / had and then refine the birth time with

the D-3 Lagna.

2) Ask the educational background and refine the birth time with D-27 Lagna.

3) Ask the job related ( I think he already provided some ) and refine the birth

time with D-10.

4) Choose some other relevant Varga's to refine further to arrive at an accurate

birth time.

Request Gurus and Learned members to correct me, if I am wrong. I will continue

with the other requests when I fine some free time later.

Thanks a lot for sparing time for me and fine tuning by birth time to this time

zone.

As you have pointed out in the analysis that my question is genuine and desire

to know the birth time is accurate hence shall not feel satisfied till i come to

know my correct birth time.

Reuest you to spare some more time when ever you are free to fine tune my birth

time further . This request is also addressed to other fellow jyotish students

also who can add their inputs in the same .
