If your Rahu is in Libra, it is not a Kodanda Rahu. As you may know Sagittarius looks like an "Archer drawing his bow". In Epics three bows are quite famous. Saranga - Bow of Lord Krishna Kandeepa - Bow of Arjuna Kodanda - Bow of Lord Rama It is good to have a sagittarius unoccupied by Rahu. A dictum of Parasara says," When Rahu occupies a Jupiterian sign , the native will suffer great misfortunes whenever the transit Jupiter moves on the trines to Rahu's natal position ". It is during one such transit that our former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assasinated. Search on some of the older SJC lists, I know it was tlaked about at some previous time. also , somewhere there is an article on Sanjays web site that mentions it. If this is in 6th house, this is superb as 8th co-lord is in debility in the 6th house giving VRY and very good ability to fight and win over enemies. Of course, debility of 8th co-lord doesn't signify high longivity but the issue of longivity should not be judged from one graha. Ayurdaya calculation methods include contributions from each graha's rasi and navamsa positions. I have seen some natives, who have this Rahu's placement will suddenly rise in the life materialistically during their Rahu Dasa. If I find the charts I will post it later. I also know some of my Karnataka Jyotish friends give quite a prominence to this placement. Because of this, some of them also belive Rahu's debilitation point is Vrischika and not Dhanus.
