Interesting FOOD 4 THOUGHT on gem

In Shastra almost nothing is said about planetary gems. But gems ARE

described. The only thing the Shastra's always mention is GOOD QUALITY

is most important.

 

Examples: According to bona fide Vedic Sanskrit authority only clean

top quality gems are considered to be desirable.[18] Sri Agni Puranam,

chap. 246, slokas 7 & 8: states, " A gem free from all impurities and

radiating its characteristic internal luster should be looked upon as

an escort of good luck; A gem which is cracked, fissured, devoid of

luster, or appearing rough or sandy, should not be used at all " .[19]

Again it is stated, " If anyone wears a gem with many flaws (even) out

of ignorance, then grief, anxiety, sickness, death, loss of wealth and

other evils torment them. " --- Sri Garuda Purana: Chapter 70, Verse 19.

 

This means that ALL BAD low-qualurt stones are BAD effect, even for a

good planet, always.

 

If this is the case, then what to speak of Jyotish quality gems.

According to the above logic, it might seem that all top quality gems

are always GOOD, regardless of planetary position.

 

Comments please, but ONLY from those who have experimented with BOTH

low and High quality gems. Otherwise it is speculation

 

Please see the attached pic showing good and bad ruby. Remember Garuda

Puranam, which states about rubies, Sri Suta Goswami, " A ruby, although

genuine, should not be worn if it has strong color banding, excessive

inclusions within like numerous internal cracks, a sandy appearance, a

rough surface, or is dull and lusterless. Anyone using such a flawed

ruby, even out of ignorance, will suffer from disease, or loss of

fortune. "
