Guest guest
Namaste, If you are very sincere to observe the Sani Amavasya vrattam, pre-plan it next time make a trip to India. “Where there is a will, there is a way”. I hope you would be in agreement with the following adage “if mountain does not come, the Mohamed has to go to the mountain”( take it easy. I remember to have seen the tree in New York and San Francisco botanical garden glass bungalow but remember you will be an odd man out if go over there in wee hours, further US laws may even attract penalty for trespass. Does not worry, for all your convenience Hon’ble Bush may even transplant such trees in USA at your vicinity,to begin with Vedic hymn were recited in the White-House(today) . Being Hindu YOU SHOULD SET AN EXAMPLE TO RESPECT YOUR FAITH. Archana <raobusiness wrote: Respected Members, Does anyone know where to find Aswatta tree around Boston, MA in USA. Let us not build up false beliefs associating this with Sani preeti, remedy for Saturn dosha, remedy for Amaavasya dosha, etc. " Yes,Sir,to observe Amavasya Aswatta Pradakshina on Saturday is an vaideeka-Aakama karma. It is done to propitiate Pitrus. Thanks for your knowledgeable guidances. dakshinastrologer <dakshinastrologer wrote: Dear Members: What Shri. Karunaakaram Raaghavam has written is pertinent. Amavasya vrattam is done to propitiate Pitrus. The importance of Aswatta Pradakshina on Saturday has also been clearly explained by him as per ancient Granthas. One more thing I would like to mention in this regard; One can touch and perform pooja to Aswatta tree ONLY on Sani Amavasya days. On other days, we should not touch the tree. We can do Pradakshina but we should not touch the tree. Only on Sani Amavasya we can touch it and do the pooja. This definitely bestows of the Thrimurthis to a performer of such a pooja. This is the only authentic thing about this sani amavasya. Let us not build up false beliefs associating this with Sani preeti, remedy for Saturn dosha, remedy for Amaavasya dosha, etc. The Sani Amavasya Vrattam is good for everyone regardless of the natal horoscope and we should take it as such. This is based on Dharma Shastraic injunctions - a Naimittika vrattam done to improve general prosperity and for betterment of the family in general. Shri Karunaakaram Raghavam has given a good guidance for all members regarding this. Blessed be.
