Dear Friends,

The discussion groups does not permit sending JHD, Jagannatha Hora Data,

files as attachments. Hence, the chart is sometimes pasted as text in the

email. We need to again manually enter all the data to create the JHD file.

To avoid this pain, I created a small utility program in Java (also

available in perl) to recreate the JHD file from the text contents in the

email.

The utility program can be downloaded from the following link

textToJHD.class <http://sanjaychettiar.googlepages.com/textToJHD.class>. If

any user is interested in having source code it can be downloaded from this

link textToJHD.java <http://sanjaychettiar.googlepages.com/textToJHD.java>.

Normal users can download only the

textToJHD.class<http://sanjaychettiar.googlepages.com/textToJHD.class>file

to desired folder. Let's assume your desired folder to save is in

C:\JyotishTools, The complete reference to the saved file would be at

C:\JyotishTools\textToJHD.class. *Note:, To run/execute the program you

should have Java installed on you machine and be available on the path

settings. Normally most machines will have this. If you have perl installed

on your machine you can download the perl version of the same utility

createJHD.pl <http://sanjaychettiar.googlepages.com/createJHD.pl>*

Now, The procedure to use this program is very simple. Lets assume the text

given at the end of this document appears in an email. Then

- select using the drag motion of your mouse cursor all lines marked

in *Blue, *i.e from 'Date:'... to ... Place: line '10 " '.

- Press *Control-C, *To copy the select lines into clipboard.

- In, *Start;Run Menu, *Type *CMD *Press OK

A command prompt will appear, (Can be something like (C:\Documents and

Settings\LoginName>),

Now assuming you saved you the textToJHD.class file in

C:\JyotishTools,

- Type *C: *Press Enter (Or any other drive on which you saved)

- Type* CD C:\JyotishTools *(Or any other folder where you saved the

class file), Press Enter

- Type *Java textToJHD.class *If everything is right then the lines

you copied in to clipboard will be taken as data to create a

temp.JHDfile and it may open up.

*Warm Regards*
