Guest guest
*hraum namah adityaya* Dear Satyanarayana, Ashta means seven grahas + Lagna, so nodes are out. For timing purposes we use Lg as Rahu (CK Scheme). Guest guest
Dear Mr.Rafal, > For timing purposes That is OK.To give more clarity, it could be said as 'ASHTAKAVARKA IS A TOOL TO ASCERTAIN THE GRAGA CHANCHAARAA PHALAPHALAM ON TWENTY SEVEN NAKSHTRAS' FROM TIME TO TIME . >we use Lg as Rahu I PRESUME THE ABOVE REFERRED IS YOUR OWN NEW FOUND COMPROMISER TO JUSTIFY THE INCLUSION OF lAGNA AMONG THE GRAHAS TO MAKE THEM EIGHT IN NUMBER.IF YOU COULD THROW SOME CLASSICAL SUPPORT FOR YOUR ABOVE STATEMENT IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Such a samaadhaanaa OF YOURS for inclusion Lagna with Graha sththi and the reasons for the non inclusion of chaayaa GRAHA, no where I could see IN BHPS,BIRUHATHJAAK,PALADIPIKAA,HORASARA.IN FACT AN OLD CLASSIC IN TAMIL " RAMADEVA ASHTAVARKA PHALA " HAS ALSO INCLUDED RAGU & KETU AND MADE THE NUMBER FROM 7+1=8 TO +2=10 With regards, D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta. Guest guest
*hraum namah adityaya* Dear Satyanarayana, I did Prasna and I have Rahu in seventh bhava which is adisatru of Guru. This makes me wonder about Your motive of asking. You seems knowledgable and these questions are very basic and I see You can answer them by Yourself. #1 When You will look at chapter 68 of BPHS then Rahu and Ketu have no contribution, instead Lg has (sloka 64-67). This is also see in ninth chapter of Brhat-Jataka and twenty-three of Phaldeepika. There are some differences of views between Parasara and Varahamihira. It also depends if we talk about i) contribution ii) interpratation. #2 Ashtakavarga means eight points/elements of contribution, so if You take Lagna then You must exclude the node, otherwise You will contradict the name of method by applying new-born rules. #3 I dont use 'new-found compromisers' unless they have ground foundation in tradition to which I belong. There are few rules by which You can translate ashtakavarga planets to charakaraka scheme. I didnt see this so easily written in Sastras so I can say its coming from Parampara, but I will try to seek some keys to that. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Dear Mr.Rafal Gendarz, >I did Prasna and I have Rahu in seventh bhava which is adisatru of Guru. This makes me wonder about your motive of asking. You seems knowledgeable and these questions are very basic and I see You can answer them by Yourself. To discuss a question by considering opposed arguments, does not mean the parties concerned are at war / fight and relationship of the parties involved can not be termed as inimical to each other. It is quite natural under such circumstances, prasanam may cast a malefic shade on the 7th House; the astrologer who makes prasanam should judiciously interpret by weighing in the circumstances and situation; if he declares the participants are at war with each other, it becomes a wrong analogy. Ø #1 When You will look at chapter 68 of BPHS then Rahu and Ketu have no contribution, instead Lg has (sloka 64-67). This is also see in ninth chapter of Brhat-Jataka and twenty-three of Phaldeepika. No where in the above referred classics it is said that Lagna as substitute for Ragu as you have said in previous mail appended? > #2 Ashtakavarga means eight points/elements of contribution, so if You take Lagna then You must exclude the node, otherwise You will contradict the name of method by applying new-born rules. " RAMADEVA ASHTAVARKA PHALA " is not a “new born rule” (may be a missing link that surfaced to my sight, it gives us an uppaya to ascertain gochara phalaaphala nirnaaya for RAGU & KETU (since their gocharams do influence our lives). The classic never suggests the reader to carry forward the PAV of Ragu & Ketu to Ekaathipathya sOdhana, Rasi, Graha Gunakaram and Sudhapinda nirnAya. Now coming to our point of discussion, the rational behind Lagna sputa and a combined minimal knowledge in Panchanga Gananam would suggest that Lagna is another form of SUN. With regards, D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta. P.S:What am I more than you,I only discuss for better learning and understanding the subject and never with an intention of making one behind the another. Guest guest
*hraum namah adityaya* Dear Sathyianarayana, I dont know anything about war. Rahu in seventh in Prasna shows bad motive if prasna is for Jyotish. Simple as that. I agree, and I made these points clear in my previous mails: 1) Ashtakavarga is seventh grahas + Lagna 2) Treating Lg as Rahu on Ck Level is coming from Parampara. Please listen audio lecture on www.srigaruda.com.
